Wow, You can get fully upgraded just be retreating off any mission repeatedly at no disadvantage. Otherwise a pretty fun game.
I think you need a way to either destroy or repair your drones, that was all your forces arent suddenly wiped out. Better or more main weapons, and the ability to switch them between missions would be a nice added feature. Cant wait for the sequel.

The enemy missiles seem to have far too many HP considering that you cannot target them with anything but Pulse Cannons. They're the lowest-damage weapons in the game, and the ones you get on your base have garbage for range, meaning that unless you have some escorts with pulse cannons, you're gonna get blasted.

gotta agree with brohocho, i beat the last level by making 6 of the lvl6 ships then getting up and doing some chores. when i came back it was at the enemy ship and only one of mine had died, with my main ship at half shield still

There is something very EV Nova about this game. Ship graphics, weapons, and even the names of some of the planets. Now that is a good game, I wonder if I still have a copy...
Your game is not balanced enough though - ships are too powerful and the primary weapon too weak.

Likes: Storyline, ship designs, upgradeability, overall game design
Dislikes: Ground force upgrade seemed too powerful (battles became too short), main weapon was too weak; ships which should be secondary & not primary (I did not have to even shoot at the end of battles), upgrade layout (I upgraded plasma/lasers because they were on top but only found out later they were only on the big ships; add a note in the intro to mouseover ship boxes), low difficulty (I finished it on normal and hard in no time and I am usually one of the slowest/lowest scoring players on kong)
Overall: There is a good foundation to build on make this into a very good game, but tweaks could make a big difference.

Without war, our airplanes would still be biplanes. Without war, satellites would be unheard of. Without war, there would be no radios, no sonar, no silly putty (LOL). Without war, life as we know it will be gone (well, just not as much tech).

Saw the ending coming a mile away, repetitive game play, and the need to upgrade hull before mod slots should have been mentioned at some point. Still, not bad, 3.5 (4 because you can't rate half stars).

ooooookaaaaaaayyy, where to begin. this game has very excellent game action, however, the plot, in general, kinda sucked. It was predictable, though, the twist at the end was nice. I do not* like how old levels cannot be re-played, and how the game doesn't inform the player as to which systems contained an upgrade. In addition, why on earth would you allow a finished game to be re-loaded, if NOTHING can be done, except purchasing the final upgrade? please add some more plot, crop the planet to a round image, and add a sandbox mode or something.

I did enjoy the ending. How a 'virus' had been invading. Then your ally declared it was your true enemy. Only to reveal later on, war is one of the most productive ways of human technological growth. Sadly, it's very true. Most of our technology was invented for war. Even our ancient brethren invented only to kill the enemy and survive. I hope to see a sequel, especially with that cliffhanger. Perhaps make the secondary weapons something that fire WITH your main weapon rather than by themselves? Good game 4/5.

Like everyone, i saw the problems with the secondary weapons. After a while it just became repetitive spamming of larger ships and hoping my main weapon could hold off when a wave of huge destroyers crushed my 'ultimate ships'. I enjoyed the rail gun, which is still rather slow. Then I came to a crossroads and was forced to switch to a terrible 'gatling gun'. Should I wait for a few seconds for it to recharge and dent the enemy? Or should I just keep firing these slow weak shots. These huge ships fire missles, but by the time they reached the enemy they were already dead. I see you couldnt really deffend yourself from enemy missles either. You just had to hope for the best by your fleet later on in the game.

Only problem with this game is that when you retreat you still get resources, and there's no penalty or limit on retreating. So effectively you can just start a fight and retire again and again and again and build up an invincible army by the time you get to the second planet.

I enjoyed it thoroughly.Repetitive but not tiring but this goes to personal taste i guess. But two of the influences in this game are 2 of my favorite games of all time so , excellent work mate.Shodan and Antares , both appearances made me smile. Just excellent

very nice game, will there be a second part? the Computer AI in the game mentioned an upcomeing invasion in 2 months in the end of the game. i would love to have that second part put it ^^

the only thing i didn't like was that i was unhappy with my choice of primary weapon and there was no way to change it!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Alright game, but considering you get most of your tech off the robots that the AI built, it seems like she could have just given you the tech rather than fought a war against yourself :P

Shodan: "I shall arm you and equip you to fight the virus.
Me: *Fights and kicks ass*
Shodan: Hah you fool I was the virus the entire time!
Me: "Thanks for the guns so I can kick your ass, great double cross there. I'm guessing they skimped on the intelligence part of the AI"
Shodan: "CRAP!"

A reasonably fun game. The mid-game weapon upgrade needs work, or at the very least the option to retain your current weapon choice. Interesting storyline though, I smell a sequel!

My yearbook staff if called the Nautilus... I'm going to enjoy this too much with that thought. Automatic 5/5 for amazing coincidences. :D

Nice game! Tip: Unit #3 is a better deal than #4, especially as it can defend you against Missiles. Also, don't bother with Unit #5 for too long; the punch is nice but the projectiles are very slow. Once you have access to the Dreadnought (#6), just keep spamming that. :p

if you click on the green rectangles for the extra addon mount upgrade, they turn black. This doesn't affect how many addons you have

Nice ending makes a nice change to the constant "your a hero congrats! thanks for playing!" games. Thank you for think out of the box. :)

Nice game with good progression, though it does get a bit formulaic towards the end. 4/5 Look forward to The Invasion :)

Shodan is not pleased. She was asked to comment on the game and developer and had this to say: "Look at you, hacker. A pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?"

So, super slow opening credits, which you can't progress past without clicking on, but only if they've finished, which there's no indication of, and if you click before then you're redirected to their site to drum up hits. Twice. So, 1/5 for hostile player treatment? :/

Game starts off really hard, but then when you spam ally ships you don't even have to do anything. Also, retreat is abused easily because you still get resources, which means you can max out really quickly.

@AluminumJacket and other haters - How is this a copy of a first person action RPG? I don't think you understand how copyright law works.

I think i found a massive bug. When you retreat you still get the resources as if you completed the mission (start mission retreat get around 100 resources)
