Cool game, but kind of repetitive. Needs some upgrades or something. And people whining about playing as the Germans need to chill. Stop being such a puss.

No water, no barriers, no barbed wire. What is this, a shooting gallery? Would have been better with inlcuded non-2d graphics, and water, landing craft, etc. Good attempt though.

Voice and soundeffects are my only complaints. Otherwise, this is a frickin amazing game! 5/5 I love the feeling of epic last stand given by the midgame cutscenes. If I were to meet the people who made this game, I would buy them all something nice. lol

Good Game. It has a deep atmosphere and the cutscenes fortified it, but impedes the flow of the game. I feel awkward about the whole war and last-man-standing.
The end had brilliant music, sad though, but brilliant atmosphere.

I read some comments and I must say: D-Day is a military term, we all know which is the most famous one, but it works for other wars as well. 3/5 stars, I liked the concept, but I really thinks this game needs some improvement, but it was nice playing it.

interesting concept, but could be better than just linear gameplay (i.e. different weapons) 3.5/5 for effort and concept, but could easily be a 5.

I dont think the author ment any harm with this game Xeptic:"A little note from the author here :) This game is not in any way meant as a pro-Nazi game. The fact that no matter what you do, you'll lose in the end and the sad music when you die is in fact only there to signify how pointless war is in general. Lot's of lives are lost for unnecessary causes. Although I must stress that the Allies invasion on D-Day was not serving an unnecessary cause, as it ultimately ensured the freedom of all of Europe. Little symbolic things such as Nazi occupied France being portrayed in a red colour, and the Allies in blue are there to symbolise the fact that the German army here is the 'bad side'. This game was not made to force some kind of idealogy upon the player. Thanks for all the comments so far!"

decent game, good time to put it out (sort of, some people would think the exact opposite). needs achievements! something like survive a certain amount of time or something. and seriously people, it's just a game. Xeptic isn't promoting Nazism or anything that they believed in. Grow up.

Most D-Day games have you storming the bunkers, I like being on the other side for once. The fact that you can't win is also a nice change of pace. :)

i cant understand why does being a german soldier in this game hurt some of you so much. i never heard any german guys complaining about all the hundreds of other games, where you play the role of an american.

theres always one plane that would get me at the end and i could never shoot it down, but nice perspective and really fun. 5/5

Nice game, different from others. I like the sense of futility you get when facing so many enemies. Voice acting is a little off-putting though but doesn't disrupt the feel of the game. 4/5 thumbs up!

Its almost funny how theres people here that hate this game while Sky are quite happily putting Saving Private Ryan on all week...so according to most of the comments the first 20 minutes of that movie are dishonorable

coincidence 101 hours... 101th company... Been in the other side of the war was, I can't say it was nice at all but made me think about the situation all those men were in. Really impressive game, short but the cutscenes were really good. 5/5

by the way the game looks awesome, more annoyed its acting oddly, oh yea and the counter for the day just keeps going and the people just kkeep coming. looks fun 3/5. if it works il give 5/5

it's a pretty good game if i may say so. I usually like upgrades, but it was ok without them(who've got time to upgrade in the middle of a battle?). I do however think that this game would be better if the enemies died a little easier, at least the foot soldiers.

Lmao, yeah Nick, and hell lets put the full name-Nick12506. Your spelling is horrid. Correcting a quick grammar mistake and you are littered with miss-spells. Check yourself before you start criticizing other peoples spelling/grammar. Well we can tell who is the Spell-Check-Freak, cant we?
On another note not a bad game. I have only played a few moments of it, I will continue to play it though. I will let you know if I have anything further to say about it.
