HunterP6, first, the topmost reload is 8, so instead of having two snipers with 20, get one with 8 and have 2.5 times the DPS. Second, get frost tower to high enough level, you need enemies to last longer on screen. And third, fire tower is superior than flame as it has splash+burn.

It kinda annoys me that i get SO far, spend so much time doing so, and for some unexplainable reason, i lose. Tell me, how do 2 gold star snipers with a reload of 20, 1 flame tower (the fast one) with a gold star, and a gold tower with a gold star, and capable of covering the whole map, lose? But, regardlesss, 4/5. Only cus i lost with all that work and starting from scratch again.

hmm, there was a way to get infinite gold in the previous versions, which gets added to score after each wave. But I don't believe that kid did it legitly.

Is there a survival mode after hardcore? This would be the only legitimate way to explain how the Level 1 wordwide high score holder has 480 billion more points then anyone else,,,

Yes, you need several levels and rewards to afford some of the better towers, but learn to employ gold towers, they give gold per shot, so the longer will the battle last, the more gold you'll get.

Biggest issue I find is that the HP of the enemies rises faster than the damage of the towers. Another issue is that the reward for killing enemies is fairly low, meaning that I need to save up for multiple waves to buy a single tower.

don't sell towers at all, and level 13 towers are very small levels, I usually get there with a level 14-15 golds (MANY of them) and a level 18-19 frost, just to make them towers get exp from more shots. The key is the towers get fixed exp per shot, so more firing speed, more shots, more exp, and in case of gold towers, MORE GOLD, both per shot and per wave.

Lvl 50 is impossible,25000000 hp per enemy.Seriously?I had max lvl13 sniper max lvl 13 machinegun max lvl12 flame tower and a max lvl13 gold tower(not very strong but still)and i couldnt kill one of them.

One annoying thing is I read the fire power upgrade as a fire rate upgrade not realizing it meant the actual fire tower.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
when towers level up, they gain generally 1.5x damage boost per levelup, exceptions are poison and frost, which get 1.25 only, which actualy throws poison off being valuable, and frost's slow remains the only reason to use it - however, its slow is still valuable, as it's splash. BTW, difficulty here arises from shorter paths, not monsters' HP.

informage, i suspect the idea is as towers level up, they get a bonus to firepower... but that might just be me, check yourself :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
upgrades are WAY too expensive (for a $250 gun tower, it costs $750 to increase fire rate by 8%? i can increase it by 300% by just building 3 more towers for that much! and god knows there's enough space for it)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
towers cost too much, and the enemies are way too slow. along with the fire rate os the "machine gun" it shoots like a pistol.

Just because this isn't new it doesn't get played, but td's used to be hot. If you came out with a nice part 2, you'd do well on here

WAVE 50 Hardcore III can be beaten with 6 Towers and none doing damage of over 6500 by the end of the wave. You start Wave 50 setup with 0 Fire Towers, 1 Frost Tower and 1 Shock Tower (both maxed). Add 4 brand new(0 experience) Fire Towers and max each to cover the whole track. Max 3 towers to a reload speed of 8 with the fourth as high as you can(depending on money) and put it slightly down the track from the other three. This takes a little time once you start and I wish I had timed it. Not one of the enemy made it off the playing area. I wonder if this would work with poison(??).

SOLUTION!
Build 3 machinegun towers as soon as you accumulate cash for it. Until wave 9 you upgrade, in this order 1. cash collecting (5) 2. Dmg upgrade (5) 3. Fire Upgrade (5) Hopefully you should manage to lvl 9 without any lives lost. Dont upgrade ANY towers until after wave 9. As soon as you get cash after doing the above, you should be able to buy a flame tower. Keep upgrading the reload of the flame tower 3 or 4 times. Then buy a gold tower and upgrade until you must pay 760-780 cash for an upgrade, THEN you buy a new gold tower and repeate the upgrade. This should accumulate enough cash to buy a new flame tower. But buy two shock towers and a psn and freeze tower first. Try to keep the gold towers separated from the firepower, so that you can get as much gold as possible. GL :)

POISON, POISON ====>> Does it even work ?? Playing Hardcore 3 I had it setup for Wave 42 and never saw any poison damage register on any member of the group. The amount of poison damage is not high but it is an accumulating type damage like fire. There is no resistance to poison for Wave 42 and yet nothing ever showed. A bug ?? Do you need more than one poison tower to do damage no matter how fast the tower is rotating? I had upped the rate of fire/distance on all other towers and added a second boosted Sniper tower. ….
I dislike having all 10 Fire Immune targets just waltz on by at a speed of 0.04 and take minimal damage from heavy shock, frost and sniper fire. I ended up getting the last one of the 10 just as it exited the field. The other 9 had about half of their life left as they exited. Aargh ;( !!! ….
I have only had problems with Wave 42 in Hardcore 3. Something good did come out of that frustration; I set a new personal high score of 637,346 for Hardcore 3.

excellent game; have played normal getting my highest score of 500,259; played hardcore 1 and scored 403,158; played hardcore 2 and scored 462,590. Fun 5/5 game but not scoring anywhere near the top scores ... Highly recommended ... NEEDS A SAVE GAME so you can come back and continue after someone else finishes needing the computer .... still a couple of bugs in game that need fixing.

a lil guide to scoring big: 1) get sniper tower, DON'T upgrade it. 2) Get fire tower ASAP (the one that's 1500 gold), place so that it will start firing at halfway. 3) First upgrade cash from monsters, then fire, then gold. 4) Get frost tower, slowly upgrade its range (range only). 5) At wave 11, save for gold and place it at the beginning of the wave you have got enough cash for it. 6) Upgrade range of gold tower just enough to reach the whole of the path prior to fire tower's starting point. 7) Max its firerate, but do upgrades only after the wave is beaten. Whenever you get another $2500, buy another gold, upgrading its range first. 8) Stop getting more goldens after wave 28-30 (this depends) and get another fire tower somewhere close to the first one, but it must fire only after the first. 9) Get gold.

For those struggling where to put the Upgrade Skill points: 5 to Cash Collect first; next 5 to Skill (the XP per enemy one, not the icon that says XP). Continue putting 5 into one skill at a time. (You get faster cash bonuses from the 5th skill point that way) I usually save Poison for wave 46-50. - - - The video link that JohnnyHaywire posted gives a good idea of how & when to place towers; altho somewhere after level 25 you will want to try and squeak up to $4000 gold and place a Golden tower - the extra cash allows you to upgrade your towers quicker. It helps if you get a few Achievement bonuses during a wave - a great time to plop down a gold tower
