Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Also, please join us in the Kongregate Discord for all the latest Kongregate news!

Play as a man trapped inside a dungeon-like tomb fighting for his life against a number of different kinds of enemies. From blob-spawning monsters, to armored men, to ghosts and even cyclops, you will have to earn your way through with different upgrades to either of your weapons. Falling sand surrounds you on all sides, making your only escape a blaster in one hand, and a grenade launcher in the other.

No vertical shooting got me at first but I really like the difference it makes and how I can change my playing style. I can even play this on my netbook which for me is a huge, gargantuan plus. 5/5, favourited.

I'd just like to mention that side-to-side shooting was a design decision; having the ability to strafe up and down to sweep enemies makes it a much more skill-based game, especially considering that the player can use the well in the middle as a barrier against enemies coming from the top and bottom; it complicates the game for purposes of strategy. Several players I have spoken to have found that after playing for a time, they've come to like the sideways-only shooting; it gives a different experience, not necessarily a limited one.
Although, I can certainly understand the frustration of getting your face blown apart by a goblin you had trouble dodging ;)
