The metrics come for the CBO, BLS, DOE and other government agencies. You can see all of them and an overview of how the economic model works at

http://usdebtgame.com/economy/

If this was propaganda the game would be easy to win by just doing the things the tea party goers would like (Lowering Taxes, Cutting the Size of Government, etc), but the game is equally hard on both sides.

1: Being able to see the statistics of the nation and the results of what youve done
2:Being able to seen to effects of major events
3:being able to set budgets for the police and fire departments
4:thats about it, keep up the good work!

DeSuFnOc84 - Uh, what? Senate and Congress members make less than your average Surgeon. Even halving their pay would still only save a few million, and then they'd be making less than some electricians... And by the way, your suggestion is more pro-communism than not.

Seriously, this game is no easier playing right wing than it is left wing, people. Stop bandwagoning.

Slightly confusing interface and far less explanation of things than necessary for a public game... But 4/5 for at least putting some research into the game and trying to balance things out.
