Part 2: This isn't a problem in some games, but in games like the one you've made it can be crippling. The gems you grab don't respawn, your income is fixed and can never go beyond what you can grab. There appear to be other things going on, some of which seem to be actual bugs. For instance, I had 31 gold, I bought a Torch. My gold total dropped to 10, then every other torch after that was only 5 gold. Why'd the first one cost 21? There's not enough information to really tell if it's a bug, but it seems to be. I just noticed too, I can't grab gems in mid-jump? Really? Does the dwarf looking gentleman I'm playing as suddenly lose all control over his arms in mid air? And on the start screen with the shops, instead of Game Title it should say "Greed for Gems" shouldn't it?

Part 1: Yes, let's make build the SAME DAMN BUTTON as collect..Why would we want to try and grab the gem that's within jumping reach WITHOUT building a ladder we have to spend our money on? I understand this was made for one of the Ludum Dare challenges, but you seriously need to put more thought into your control schemes. There's a whole keyboard available guys, you have four possible actions per person playing, you require no more than 16 keys to link actions to (8 total for single player.) This is fairly basic stuff, and tells me you didn't have an experience gamer do a quick play test to determine what (if any,) bugs existed in the game. This kind of thing irritates the crap out of me and quite honestly, it shouldn't ever happen either. If you look at it from my perspective, you (the player) wind up wasting valuable resources because the two actions are linked to the same button.

Great game, bit confusing at first but once you get into it, lots of fun
