Looking from a professional's viewpoint, this is ga-Great.
But seriously, if this is your first game, great step.
I would suggest a couple things.
The reload could be changed to R, instead of that game-interrupting RELOAD screen, even though it reminds me on old arcades.
Make blocks come from sides, never ending.
and PLEASE, PLEASE get rid of those black blocks.

Fusions told you the reload thing already - it is an important point I think.
And I think he is right, when he says, this is a nice beginning.
I would like a "upgrade system" and an other way to increase the difficulty, instead of more and faster strafing blocks - perhaps it is enough if the blocks fly circles...
Just a few thoughts, can´t grap them completly by myself, so don´t worry if you can´t, too. ;)
