Recientemente comencé a crear un juego en Flash diseñado para que los jugadores puedan interactuar entre sí mediante comercio, competencia y colaboración. Como tengo algunos conocimientos de PHP y mySQL, decidí que usarlos sería la opción más sencilla. Tras mucha investigación en internet y experimentación, logré hacer funcionar una solución sorprendentemente simple. Este tutorial te enseñará a guardar y cargar variables en una base de datos mySQL desde Flash, usando PHP. Lamentablemente, para las etapas posteriores necesitarás tener tu propio servidor de mySQL y PHP para ejecutar los scripts. Se requiere un conocimiento básico de mySQL y PHP. Puedes descargar ejemplos desde http://gnomelogic.com/flash&mysql/examples.zip, o al final del tutorial.
Cómo jugar
Usa los botones de flecha roja para avanzar de página en página y sigue las indicaciones en pantalla. Un botón verde (?) te mostrará cómo hacer algo, y un botón azul (i) te dará un consejo.

PHP and MySQL have been migrated to a new host, and code has been adjusted to suit.
Errors with dynamic content should no longer occur.

Hooray! To avoid continuing troubles with domain name, I registered a new free one (http://flash-mysql.servegame.com) to run my PHP. Finally my tutorial should work properly.

Useful, but the part where it says "This page contains dynamic content that is still loading" doesn't disappear; the thing that comes in the second section "Post".

Very nice tutorial, but I think I'm just going to rely on other external APIs to save me time, or just find an open source project and steal its code lol.
