Some things that would be good to learn before your next game are:
-Loading bars.
-Scrolling backgrounds
-The Kong API
But it's pretty good for a beginner. Did you do the art yourself?

The hitboxes seem a little off, as if they are rectangular rather than conforming to the actual sprite. Good job though.

Bug: Once you click start the game runs slow. Fix this by killing yourself and pressing the restart button. Something is wrong with my code that won't stop this.
