This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. Be sure to read the in-game tips to help you learn the ropes and discover things that you may not have noticed yet.
Visit areas to dig up treasures. Click squares to move to them or click the square you are on to dig in it. When you dig a number will appear in that square indicating how many treasures can be found in adjacent squares. Use this to your advantage to work out where best to dig next.

When you defeat one of the boss guys and unlock their buddy and then are killed before the end of the you lose the unlocked buddy and the boss does not respawn so you permanently lose that pet. Please rate this up so dev can fix this

As per firehelm's comment, here are all the special items and their damage stats: Blowpipe - 30 DMG; Boomerang - 30 DMG; Deadly Nightshade - 40 DMG; Ninja Star - 50 DMG; Pistol w/ Silver Bullet - 80 DMG; Cannon w/ Cannonball - 100 DMG

I got 91/91 treasure and the badge still says I got only 1 treasure, anyone else having trouble with the second badge? And yes I refreshed multiple times!
