Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Move with arrow keys, breathe fire with Space, pause/upgrades: Enter.
Be careful with the big enemies! Don't take the shield rune before the end of a shield effect, you will waste it!

Nice try for a first game! Simple is good!
But really, really take care with the enormous ammount of gradient usage for shadows. And the comic sans here feels out of place. I think a nice little font from some gothic font would match better with the theme.
Keep producing stuff!
