It needs better Graphics, Collisions, Levels and some more originality couldn't hurt ;P

Could make a nice game. For a start, getting hit should trigger some kind of animation and sound effect. Standing on a moving platform should move the player with it. Make the engine a little more practical this way and try to come up with some kind of original gameplay and you should have yourself a nice little game.
