Hey, moderators who can delete comments and tags and such. I’ve got a huge list of comments for you to delete (by me, KingKYD, and others).

Feel free to take any action you wish. I just hope that you get rid of the ones with shiny, havvy, o yes i win, kingkyd, ketchup, and yoshi in them.

Also, for high scores, here are hacked ones.

First 5 on Assembly
First 6 on Buto
None on Going Down
First 1 on Infernal Hop
First 7 on Newbieland
First 5 on Pyramids
First 4 or 6 on Rank (7th is a true score. shiny plays too much. :P)
First 5 or 6 on Robocity
None on Slip

It would make the game much more cleaner on Kongs side.

So long as there are games with competition, there will be trash talk. I have a system that I’ll propose to the other Kongregate staff this week on how we can cut down on comment-related spam and trash talk, but it’s going to happen.

As far as the tags go. We really need to bump up the tags issue on our priorities, but in the mean time I’ll ask Jiggmin if he wants me to nuke the tags for now so that it can start out fresh.

But you are so right. This needs to be cleaned up.

I think only common tags should actually show up.

The only one that truly needs to be banned is KingKYD. Most of the true offending material is by him. Some of it is harmless (all the things with me, shiny, and o yes i win in the tags), but it is really messed up right now.

Hey, its ketchupyoshi here. Please dont remove the ketchup-approved tag. I put it on a lot of games that I like and its not some insanely random tag like ‘worlds largest ketchup bottle’. Also, I agree that Kingkyds comments should be removed. All he talks about is how much he is better than me and how everyone who listens to me sucks. Also, you can remove my comments about him if you want. I dont feel that I should be banned Sylicas, because Kingkyd seems to be the aggressor here. Sorry if I made anyone mad.

To be quite honest flaming doesn’t bug me. I’m used to it, I’ve done plenty of it myself in other games. I don’t think we have a policy on this yet (I guess we’ll be making one soon!), but the clean up on this list is going to require just nuking a lot of the material, we simply cant afford to go through and review each tag to decide to delete it or not. It’d be a massive effort of time that would just end up getting cluttered again in a week anyway.

Well for starters, if he’s trolling – dont feed him. Dont even respond, just report it.

I dont see how a “ketchup-approved” is relevant or helpful to the games. It seems like a spam tag as well.

okay for one, you arent funny at all toasty. two, your name is gay as hell(which really doesnt exist). three no one is owning me im owning eveyrone including you. i own them in the game, in the chat room, & mostly, in real life. Im sorry if ketchup-approved looks like a spam tag, but I have put it on a lot of games already, (about 25 games) so it would be hard to go through all the games hunting for ketchup-approved tags… also, I dont think the ‘rules’ about tags are very clear…

Theres no need to post the offending comments in this thread, thereby spreading their offensiveness to other parts of the site. I’ll go through and delete most of them tomorrow.

That tag actually would be helpful for testing tag related features. It’s unique, and in a good amount of games here. I don’t think it’s really spam, but it is more or less doing what favorite games is suppose to be doing…

Okay, Kingkyd just called me a hacker on platform racing. I have NEVER hacked and dont even know how to. By now, I normally would stop feeding him with responses and left him alone, but he apparently wont understand that I have the ability to be good at something. Please remove his comments very soon. (sorry for double post, just very angry right now)

Why not just only allow tags to be placed by developers of the game and greg when making badges?

Actually, why don’t you let anyone place a tag if they want to, but maybe let the developers delete tags? That way, even if the developer can’t think of any tags, people can still tag it, and the developer can remove tags if he/she feels it doesn’t fit.

Or make is so the developers have to approve a tag before it appears.

Personally, I never ever use the tag system for anything.
