are there any games you could put on htc hero? its a phone that isnt an ipod… like pillage the village, or motherload, or xeno tactic, age of war, warlords, maybe even epic war, or hedgehog launch, bloody fun day, warzone tower defense, amorphous… warbears, bot arena, nano war, bubble tanks frontline defense first assault, microbe kombat, cell warfare, skyfyre, robot dinosaurs that shoot beams when they roar, cubic disturbance, hexcelle, toss the turtle, storm the house, double wires… those would be good games for a phone… you could put advertisements on the games too, there isn’t a great variety of games on lots of phones… but yeah theres lots of basic games on kongregate that would be great to play on the phone… in theory, like a LOT, maybe even more entertaining then on a computer, because lots of games dont even need a keyboard… just a mouse… on the phones there isnt a lot of memory space but you could get a lot, but the games that there are now… the best game they have, is chess, checkers, and a game where you roll a ball around, its like someone massacred the whole game section and labeled card games and board games, “mobile phone games”… kind of depressing so idk, i’m just a kid… with… a phone maybe even make an app that lets you get the kongregate achievements even on the phone… |

I think that, in the chat room, there should be an “Awkward Silence” bar. it would appear in between posts that had a minute or more in time length between them(PMs would not activate this). So it would be like: This would do two things: One it would be plain awesome, and two then people would know when looking at chat and say seeing five posts by the same person all in a row not relating to anything in particular if they were just typing in stuff randomly and pretty much spamming or if they were just bored because chat was dead and weren’t really spamming at all. |

Originally posted by LeonLeos: That’s a nice idea, but it just wouldn’t work. For starters, only the developers of those games can choose to make phone/Ipod app games for it. But even then, seeming as you can’t connect to chat on an Ipod/phone, you can’t earn achievements. |

Get the specified badges (Play games), you could try referring people, but you don’t have a website or anything… |

I just noticed you can’t sort games by gameplays anymore. I was kinda nice to see how the top games were faring against each other with this. |

Soo, um… I know you could argue that this might be a comment more suited to another thread, but I’m not a dev so it’s going in here. This is an idea, a good one that I will share with you all for free, that could ASPLODE with AWESOME all over Kong and CHANGE flash games FOREVER – as opposed to anywhere else. Of course, maybe I’ve not come up with this idea first… D’oh! Here goes. A flash game collection / concept album. Meaning, a sequence of flash games (they’d be kinda arranged as a series of levels), each set to a song / piece of music, ideally following some kind of narrative. This could be a truly multi-genre experience, in terms of music, story and videogame genres, with truly interactive cut-scenes and original artists getting known for their music in the games. So, for example, I’d have a dystopian sci-fi ‘game album’, with metal and electronica music and lyrics telling a post apocalyptic story, and ‘levels’ like a outer space shooter, maybe a tank game, a rocket racing game, a top-down arena shooter thingy, and an adventure in the style of a Zeebarf game on some weird planet. Maybe more ‘virtual’ bands like Gorillaz would be formed and us gamers would be like “:3 we got them where they are now!” If this was to expand to the proportions of epic console game… then we’d have a videogame opera on our hands. I’d have a crazy huge action / adventure set to the music of Queen. To hell with your classical theatre and your Pavarotti and your rhythm games and your Guitar Hero. JOKE! Might this idea be as awesome as I think? |

I’m just going to put in my two cents: • More traffic for independent developers with 3/5 to 4/5 games, which could may include some features to filter out ‘press the button’ games while still giving those little awesome games some lee-way. • [AWESOME IDEA] Kongregate Pages! something that users can fill with new and widgets and game suggestions in order to make Kongregate feel more community-y. The idea came when I was surfing Kong looking for something to just read, and wha-bam it came to me. I would also be constructive to charge maybe 50 Kreds for the page (no extra Kreds for widgets) it would just filter out spammers and trolls, and let you reep some rewards ;) • More to do with Kreds! I have considered buying some but I’m stuck on what to do with them, of course I can buy little game items (which I dont want to buy) or support developers. I’m all in for supporting devs I just want a little more to do with Kreds. Thanks, |

I’m sure Kongregate are trying to do something with them. Also I have a suggestion. Maybe an Admin should read this once in a while. |

I think that, on the badge page, you should be able to show only the games that you haven’t played/earned a badge on before. |
|
|
i might be repeating something that has already been said, but i didn’t bother to read all of the 268 pages of comments. i think that you should be able to star/favorite a developer (you can only do this for developers; it isnt the same as a friend request), and whenever a new game by them comes out, it appears on your main screen in the “featured games” |
|
|
@black_fox: Also known as subscription. Yes, it’d be a great feature, you should also get E-mailed whenever a new game comes out (optional) (apart from a box in your profile showing the new games). |

I think that Kong could use a slightly higher room cap, now that the rooms get filled up every day. |

Originally posted by ohmylanta: Kong is making more rooms, and letting more people in a room would cause lag. |

Originally posted by Ljrules95:Originally posted by ohmylanta: By slightly, I don’t mean a lot. Maybe like 10-15 more people. Anyways, keep in mind you can enter a full room as long as you have a friend already in there. |

I think I would be a good idea if their some sort of marking for games that have badges so it doesn’t take forever to find a game with badges. |

Quick suggestion about quests… |

Start banning users who are crapping up game comments with the “Copy & Paste this message” chain. I suspect you don’t care anymore about that than when they do the same thing with “first” chains. In that case, simply get rid of comments altogether and/or make it cost 1 point (or more) to post a message. |
|

Originally posted by AwesomerMan: on the comments part to use 1 point to comment, thats a horrible idea because some people like commenting on games. |

Originally posted by Ljispopular:Originally posted by AwesomerMan: Excuse me? Just because people like something doesn’t mean it should be free, especially when what they really “like” to do is abuse the system. Besides, you have nearly 17,000 damn points! Would you really have suffered a hardship if 39 of them were used to post the game comments you made? Or even 195 if they deducted 5 points per comment? At 1 point, it’d just be a wash with the game rating anyway (and, yes, I’m also tired of comments that do nothing more than say what someone rated a game). |

Originally posted by SavageWolf: Where is your evidence that they contribute useful comments as it stands? One would think that commenting on games in any manner is a time sink that could be better spent doing something that earns points (aka, a lost opportunity cost). I would also have no problem with a system that solved the problem without deducting points (e.g., keep track of a derivative balance or moderation beyond administrative review). Trolls who post the specified junk will just create new accounts/hack. Also lacks evidence. To that point, though, I would agree that new accounts should not be allowed to be abusive at a significant level. For example, I have already suggested that new “developers” be throttled down to keep them from flooding stolen games and/or crap games that they throw together in a day. I have absolutely no problem with disabling game comments for people who haven’t reached level 5 (or 10 or, hell, even 50) if the evidence shows that what they post is mostly garbage. In a related suggestion, I’d like chat to auto-mute level 1 players, because those do seem to engage in the behavior you describe. Bonus points if the level is user-settable (I’d probably start at level 3, based on the muting I’ve had to do). Weasel out of that one :P) Done and done. :-) |

Where is your evidence that they aren’t posting useful comments? What with them being on Kong for a long time, they wont have learned that people hate bad comments? And as Cranodos said somewhere ages ago: “Level != Maturity”. Also people play games for fun, even if they don’t have badges, as hard as that is to believe, so denying those people access to chat and forums is “cruel”. |
