I recently did a search for “Mouse Only” genre games, had to go through a couple hoops to get it sorted the way I wanted and eventually did.
Do you have any plans on adding more search/sorting options to the website?
Also, are there any plans to add maybe a small icon next the game name or by it’s rating that shows whether the game as achievements attached to it?
I really prefer playing games that have achievements to be earned, but have found that some games that sound awesome have no achievements tied to them.
Just thought I’d ask. Was a couple of things I had been wondering about.
Sorry if these questions have been posted before, couldn’t find to much on the subjects.

So I’m assuming you found this page of mouse-only games? It’s a little inconvenient to get to the tag pages right now, but if you know the name of a tag you can manually type it in for now.
Also, are there any plans to add maybe a small icon next the game name or by it’s rating that shows whether the game as achievements attached to it?
Something like what this script does? It will show if a game has API, badges, shared content, or not when you mouse over the thumbnail, so it might be what you’re looking for.

If you have decided to allow us to spam our feed with useless shit, at least allow me to specify whether i want easy, medium, hard or impossible badges to appear there, only then it will become at least somewhat useful
Oh, and that does not mean i have come to terms with this update, oh no, i still want the old layout, the old messages box, and the beta tag, i’m not being tsundere at all!

Would be good but right now I just turn the “show when you earned badges” part on when going for a game with a hard or impossible badge.

If you hover over the “GAMES” tab thing, there will be a Recently Played section.

I don’t have a problem with the new profile update. But maybe re-add the arts and sounds? I’m sure there are many people who would like to be able to see what they have created. Plus, I think the shouts are two cluttered and long~ Make it the old way. And add an another page for shouts you made on other peoples profile. Make things easier~ My thoughts, best regards!

Well, I can’t fix all those things right this moment, but this one is already fixed:

You can access someone’s art and sounds via their profile.

Just email support@kongregate.com and the will unpublish them, that way you keep revenue earned. And from there you can delete them but you will lose revenue.

I guess this is a suggestion:
For an extra fee, be able to add a custom message or one’s username onto the back of the Kongregate T-Shirts. I would buy one of those right away.

I think you should be able to sign up before you’re 13, but you just won’t be able to post in the forums or chat in the chat.

That’s an interesting idea that I’d thought of before, basically if someone tries to sign up with a birthday showing them being under 13, then they still get the chat interface that guests see, and likewise with the forums. That way, users could still earn achievements, and start to chat later on. Legally, I can’t see a huge issue, since underage users are currently banned, but they can still play on the site, this would just allow them to have an account but be like a guest for the social aspects (which are the reasons that users must be 13).
EDIT @below: Point taken, but then there could easily be a change to the signup process (easy in the sense that it’s just moving something without needing to add a bunch of separate checks). Since you’re not required to activate your account via email, that could be made a post-signup operation. For example, if I were to sign up an account right now, it would ask for my username, password, and date of birth, and then it would create my account. After that, since I’m above 13 I’ll have the option to add my email in the account preferences, as well as do every other social aspect. If someone who signs up under the age of 13 tries to do this, then they will not be allowed to do so. Effectively, this allows for signup to be possible at any age, but then a check is made to see if you’re 13 or above in order to edit or add any personal information.

Legally, the issue is that sites may not collect personal information from children under 13. This includes e-mail addresses, which are required for Kongregate registration (and false addresses don’t get you off the hook).

I don’t know if this exists, but if it doesn’t, I’d like a way to see a history of every game I’ve ever played on kong, that way I could find games I played a long time ago but did not favorite.

That only goes back a max of 60 pages. Also, it seems a little glitchy – it has me playing Paladog 60 pages ago (as the last entry, which I feel is probably significant to the glitch), and not only have I only played it once, for the BotD a few days ago, I’m not entirely certain it was out at that point. Hard to tell.

Cloud saves!
Flash game saves are only a couple kb so it wouldn’t take up much memory right? If kong had some sort of API people could put in their games where it would back up users saves to kongregate servers that would be amazing. You would be able to access all your game saves just by logging into your account. You can pick up where you left off on any computer and keep your data if your HDD fails.

I just looked at my chat.Kongregate.com folder, and the size it takes on my disk is apparently 21.4 MB. If that were to be taken as an average for every account created (roughly 8,600,000 as of this post) for necessary space, then that would require about 175 TB of storage. I’m not going to comment on the practicality of this, as the userbase is constantly increasing, and so are the number of games, so this amount will only increase over time (again, it’s not a case of me having more data than someone else per se, but rather is I need that much then everyone else should also have the same max amount, so my numbers are based off of that).
However, if it were a Kong+ feature, then that’d be something interesting, but then again, it would require the recoding of every game on the site for them to work with it, and that’s just not feasible. And you should backup your data anyways, so you shouldn’t have to be too worried about a crash.
EDIT:

Which is why I said that it’s not a case of me having more, but a case that everyone should be allotted the same amount, as it’s unfair to give any one user more space than another.
