It’s telling us that MochiAds are running in those two games. MochiAds are supposed to be disabled on Kongregate because of a deal between the two.

Lol. Forum Trolls generally>Mochi Ads.
In annoyance at least. Remember, Mochi Ads support the games they are in, and take place of a preloader.

MochiAds are a great thing. It allows developers to generate more profit, and saves them the trouble of a preloader. I’m glad to see they are enabled.

MochiAds is an in-game ad network that allows Flash developers to generate revenue every time their games are played on any site. Kongregate has a partnership with Mochi Media to disable MochiAds for games hosted on kongregate.com. This in turn prevents multiple ads from appearing and allows us to negotiate better rates from advertisers that we pass on to our developers.

Then we should have all mochi-adds disabled, end of story. I say lock this baby up!

Well, MochiAds are supposed to be automatically disabled. Kongregate actually encourages developers to use MochiAds, but they’re not supposed to show up on Kongregate because of the aforementioned partnership.
Also, I believe they actually just stay on the screen for the fixed amount of time. Sometimes the game has completely loaded before they disappear, and sometimes it hasn’t.

But the rule doesn’t say put Mochiads in game is against the rule.

Found a few more Mochi-ads that snuck in:

Henry, I don’t think this thread ought to be locked, as it serves a useful function as a place for users to report seeing un-disabled Mochi-ads. The issue’s not ‘whether or not they should be there’, the issue is ‘they shouldn’t be there but a few are’. You’re misunderstanding the point of the thread, I think.
Also, while DTD 1.5 has a Kong preloader so there shouldn’t have ever been Mochi-ads in the first place, I too am seeing the Mochi-ads on the old version of DTD.

Um… Chicen, I was only referring to DTD 1.5 there, which I don’t recall ever having anything but the Kong pre-loader even when it first got uploaded.

Ok… Whenever a mochi-ad is detected, poof. It disappeared. It won’t work but it’ll be there. I don’t know if I’m right…
