This is an event where everyone wins! Wins some new profile shiny, that is...
What ingredients go into your favorite games?
Well, gather up some ingredients, mix them together, and see what the results will be! Everyone who completes the event at least once and enters their Kongregate username will receive a beautiful potion profile award.

Not only that, but handful of clever users will get an extra special "shiny" version of the award.

First, head over to the event page [Potions Class](https://www.kongregate.com/pages/potions-class)
After you complete your potion, check out the game(s) you've summoned, and post in this thread about your experience. We usually enjoy those who make it into a clever story and incorporate the game into it well. We're going to pick some of our favorites forum posts for the event, and those users will get the "shiny" version of the potion profile award. Have fun, and happy gaming!
You have until November 21 to enter the event.
Happy Concocting!

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice (tarot cards, a dash of "eternal addiction" (CROWcaine), nice art, and more), these were the ingredients were brewed as a catalyst to breach the Shadowrealm and call forth the perfect little game, but alas one ingredient was accidentally knocked in, Capitalism.
Lo and behold, from the altar crawled out the vile form of the demonic Animation Domination, a monstrous otherworldly chimera with a mish mashed amalgram of the faces and appendages of a baby, a dog, a robot, a lobster squid man, a group of beer drinking red necks, and a burger. Truly a horrifying beast with just its form alone, yet with every breath it spews out the putrid toxins of corruption, and whispers sweet words into ones ears offering great power for just a few kreds.
Though the beast has since been banished back to world it came from, every night as I lie and bed ready to drift to sleep I hear a gentle rap on my windows and a whisper saying "We have come. We can give you power. It's only fifty kreds." At first I resist and cower under the sheets pretending I'm not there, but night after night, they come repeating the same offer, yet the chorus of voices grow as the beast sprouts more heads, blocking my windows with the silhouettes of a forest of heads offering better and better deals. Some nights they will say "Guaranteed maxed legendary card for only the pile of change under your couch" other nights they will say "We can give you that medium badge, if you'd just sign over your soul to capitalism."
I scream.
I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. Ice cream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream. I scream.
Day has come, and the beast has left, and I awake from this terrible nightmare. My face turns pale when I see Kongregate has revived this creature and given it a hard badge, and blood begins to drip from my wallet.
I emit soundless screams as my lungs collapse, but I don't care. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream. I try to scream.
I have no lungs, but I must scream.

Honestly speaking, the game wasn't actually that bad (I just wanted to keep the whole thing Halloweeny), but the memory leak was horrible for me, and I had to reload it every two or thee match to keep it playable on my rather old PC. I hate PvP badges though, and by this point where there's a ton of really powerful players, the hard badge is much easier than the medium. I'd rather have summoned Aisleen, but I guess I was missing the Bawk as an ingredient.

You guys really ought to put these contest backgrounds as profile skins. :( This one and the Kongrelesson background both look amazing.
>We usually enjoy those who make it into a clever story
woops I'm not creative
Got [Beam Ball](https://www.kongregate.com/games/zyxstand/beam-ball), which is really accurate for what I've picked.

Beam Ball is good fun. Simple idea, but with a creative twist on 20 some levels. Kinda like [Snakes on a Cartesian Plane](https://www.kongregate.com/games/netgrind/snakes-on-a-cartesian-plane) in that sense. Difficulty curve is well-implemented such that you can't infiniwhore, but you can still improve your score if you practice enough. Separate high-score tabs for all the levels makes it more competitively appealing. The imp badge for 3000 total score gives you a goal to strive for, and it's nice that you can pick the levels that you want to improve on yourself.

Oooh, thanks for reminding me. I know she's super duper busy right now, but I think this one might be easier.
EDIT: Forecast is looking good on a Potions Class profile skin!
Also, FlyingCat, you come up with more puns than most of the people in the Kongpanion naming crew.

So, I invested in ingredient production because I understand the slippery slope and always strive for maximum profits. More ingredients to test with or sell!
Then, I added a pinch of a light fixative, because my game doesn't need to be longer than a few hours.
Then, I added a pumpkin to improve the flavor. That reminds me... Man, I still remember how awesome the Snowpeak Ruins were from Twilight Princess. Sit down, Skyward Sword. Nobody important likes you.
Then, I added a touch of death because I'm deadly good at making potions. Or not.
My potion brewed for a few moments before the cauldron started rumbling and laser beams starting shooting out. Scary.
The cauldron exploded, leaving a game where it ruined my floor.
The game turned out to be Logic OpticARA Halloween, a game about bending lasers with mirrors to shoot Halloween stuff for some reason. It had some neat puzzles. I stopped halfway through because I'm already aware of my capability to beat everything, and there's no badges attached. It didn't blow my mind; 4/5.

The first round of basic profile awards should come out some time next week. You do have to enter your kongregate username, spelled correctly, in order for me to award it. For the shiny, the winners of the shiny will have to impress us ;-)

I'm always in the mood for some puzzle/logic games and I came up with [Where are my pets?](https://www.kongregate.com/games/Crescentyr/where-are-my-pets) which was a game I hadn't played and enjoyed quite a lot! Well done to the potion designers!

"404 Page Not Found" is an interesting game title. Pity the game itself is so bare-bones….

So, here I was, making origami butterflies, dogs, and birds, and my fingers needed a break from the tedious folding. In a moment of serendipity, I switch tabs to discover Kongregate is offering a potions class. A fan of all things science (none of this foolish wand waving for me!), I start mixing.
I first had to puzzle out what I was going to put into this potion. A good potion can take days to brew (heck, the pollyjuice potion takes a month!) and I was looking forward to the end of it. I had an old Magic card on my desk (potions is a bit of magic, so I figured that was a good thing to add... plus it had some good stats, and high quality ingrediants is important). I threw in some logic (potions is a science, so it is good to add some of that). And BAMB..... The game [Where are my Pets](https://kon.gg/2P6sYzL) emerged.
The bad news is that I had already drank this piticular potion already (it tastes like fruit punch). On the good side, now I had some inspiariation to finish these origami animals I was making. Apparently, the pets are all over my desk.

Thanks Kongregate!

On a relaxing walk one breezy autumn day,
I stumble upon some ingredients for a game to play
A platform made of pixels, a story that moves the soul,
With these items in each hand, crafting a potion was my goal
I hoped for a game that was abundant in substance,
And one with a length that wouldn't test my patience
The concoction, nearly done, was stirred with a fork
One big gulp, and Poof, I'm [Choppy Orc](https://www.kongregate.com/games/eddynardo/choppy-orc?haref=WB_Event_choppy-orc)!
Platforms galore, stuff made of pixels too
But where was the touching story I mixed in with the brew?!
My retractable axe helped me leap to new heights
Over scorching pits of fire, and under ceiling-bound spikes
This platformer is fun, and my axe, very useful
Still, barely any sign of a tale so tearful
It was then I realized, the hidden narrative of the quest
I was freeing human villagers, locked in tiny chests!
While it wasn't the most heartwarming story I've ever heard,
To be an orc saving humans was indeed nice, though absurd!
Astonished with a story that was simple though unintentional,
I hurled my axe once more, which was splendidly multi-functional
To have a tool tripling as a weapon, platform and switch
Was unbelievably satisfying, creating gameplay so rich
Freeing the last captive from the evil ghosts and bats,
I victoriously finish the game, as an orc with his axe

So i just create a really cool creature called kitty catsanova and let me tell you.........THIS CREATURE SHOOT LAZER EYES, VOMIT RAINBOWS, AND SUDDENLY MENTAL BREAKDOWN FOR NO REASON, seriously this creature is awesome but for some reason his name tag on his back that says, "MADE IN CHINA". So why the heck do i see this, it makes me sad at some point but it okay, so i destroy my racist neighbor who keep spamming some offensive jokes at my headbook page and he using dislike bots on my metube video, with my kitty catsanova. The end.

Ahhhhh, Kitty Casanova. When I first heard about this game, I thought it was going to take a much weirder turn than it did. Having helped with Crush Crush already, there was already a good benchmark to base it off of. As soon as I started playing, though, the game was a lot less weird than first thought, just helping out adorable little kitties. Cats and internet: who knew? If only I could have helped it out whatsoever, but any energy that could have been done for development, went to other ventures. Oh well; the game turned out pretty well regardless. All in all, a good pick for those who are looking for cats, Idle-esque games, and Idle cat games.

How about a friendly bug report then?
It seems like the algorithm really likes "Where are my pets?", several people drew it (including me); with this few posts I'd expect fewer people to pulled the same game. Also, I picked "loot" and "takes a few days" as options; the algorithm overestimates the difficulty of "Where are my pets" as a puzzle, I finished it in just a couple of hours (because I went completionist on it and went for no missed guesses), and there was no loot to be found in the game :(
I found the system's pick for me disappointing. Hopefully you're taking feedback and making minor tweaks, it's still early in this process.
Great idea, best of luck with the player engagement!
