New Kongregate Version: Tidying Up Split Tests!

For this site update, we’ve decided to clean up some of the tests we are running. The most noticeable change you’re going to see is once again in our site navigation and header. We’ve been testing to see which version is most useful to you all. Right now tests are still going on, and we’re busy making tweaks in order to add as many of your suggestions as we can. But since we’re still in a test phase, we’ve decided to remove two of the navs so if you were seeing this:

you’ll now see:

If you make a new account, you’ll either see our old navigation (pre-split-test old) or the one version of the new navigation.

• Fix for AS3 API logging exception

Users:

• Removing Kongai content on /current_challenges
• Remove Your Favorites link for guests
• Added a “Will my feedback get a response?” section to the contact page
• Split test cleanups, especially the nav

Im still seeing the 2nd one you listed, not the new one

EDIT: Nvm, I signed out and logged in and it changed

One more question, what about for the people who still had the old version?

People with the old version will keep the old version for now until a final decision is made.

I’m still getting the logging exception – is this something I should wait a little longer before it will work properly?

For some reason, I now have the old layout of Kongregate. At least I get to experience the old one momentarily again.

Everyone has to suffer through it at some point.
The ones who have it now were lucky, they got it out of the way.
The ones who don’t currently have it will experience it eventually.

So, can we just stop trying to change what isn’t broken and get the old one back?

Looks like Kong is playing the Netflix/Quikster card…

Because the shameless advertisement of Kreds and the amount of points to level are both much more important than seeing messages.

Yeah, mine reverted back to the old layout. I’m not complaining, though. I don’t mind giving up the three tab simplicity for actually having my black box profile info actually visible and not super condensed, either.

If you want to give me back the triple tab system, go right ahead. I actually liked that. Just let me keep my black box.

Oh, also: My avatar is an animated GIF. I demand the tiny-tiny-tiny version of it remain animated.

And also, the footer is still all derpy and giant. :D

edit: The one thing I did like about the new layout was getting to separate forums quicker.

Whatever you choose, please make an option to change layouts? I just know it’s going to go back to normal because of all the hate out there, but I want this one. );

I sincerely doubt Kong will revert to the old layout, after all the time and effort spent in developing the new one. While it may appear that most people are against it, in reality, most people are either in favor of it or they don’t care either way. However, they aren’t as apt to express their opinion as those who don’t like it.

If they aren’t expressing their opinions, how do you know that they’re in favor of it? :D

Anyways, I really don’t mind the new tabs. Those are nice. I just bloody hate the new account info box.
