An update.
A program called Recuva does a pretty good job of showing files that have been deleted. Unfortunately, while it is able to recover the Game Preferences file from this morning, it won’t let me recover the SaveDate file — it shows as unrecoverable. The disk is overwritten in certain clusters.

All I found was a bunch of porn… No “chat.kongregate.com” or “www.kongregate.com” or a bunch of letters and numbers…

The directories are hidden btw. You need to manually type them in or show hidden folders.

The tass video is called Tutorial no 6, IIRC. If you want to see where the game you’ve just played is kept, go to the above directory and search without a nameless file, modified today. A few games create multiple files, some of them in strange places.

Flash Player has recently changed where it saves your data, at least if you are using Google Chrome.
On Windows 7 the new location is now: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\<random>\chat.kongregate.com

Thank you, I remember reading that, but I completely forgot about it and everywhere has the old location. Nice name, by the way. Few people actually know what that is.

The EBF4-Files are not in the chat.kongregate.com folder but in one named assets.kongregate.com. (On my computer, at least.)

Yeah, this is an issue that came up a little while ago. I’d find the threads but, you know know, no forum search. Unfortunately, backup apps aren’t covering assets.kongregate. :(
