Kong Plus Skins

I was wondering, and I don’t think there is. But, is there a way we can upload our own images to use for our profile skin? I wish there was a wider variety, plus I know how to make my own. Maybe add a “Upload image here” thing so we can do it?

No, there isn’t, skins are limited to only a few set backgrounds. For future references, note that there is an official thread to discuss Kong+.

I like their taste, but Kong+ skins always get stuck in my teeth.

Perhaps there should be a K+ skins suggestions thread, instead of merely a competition in which only a few get added?

Just curious but how many are there to actually choose from?

There are around 30 different skins in Kong+.

There are 29 Kong+ skins (and then the default skin), which cover a variety of themes, from games (like Dream World, Escape, and Tyrant), to user-made pieces (all visible in the old thread from when there was the contest for them right here).

More than I had assumed then o.o

It took the mods(?) a while to upload the skins from the contest, so it doesn’t seem like it’s an easy thing to add more skins.

The Admins make and run the site, not the mods. On-topic, way too abuse-able.

We have plenty of skins though!
They just don’t want to turn the site into myspace where people have “super kool flashy profile backgrounds.” I’m quite thankful for that, actually.

Skins, visible for public are indeed abusable but what if… customized skins would be visible only for you?
Yeah, other people wouldn’t see it… it kind of kills the point of having a profile skin at all. The new idea would be sort of setting your own personal wallpaper

For those of you who say that it’s abusable, let me just throw this out there to ponder over: Who would risk getting banned over using an inappropriate profile skin when they paid $30 to get Kong+? I’m not saying that this is a definite reason to allow custom skins, just that if they were allowed, I don’t think that there would be as much of a problem as there would be if it were a free feature.
