Here’s a brilliant idea that none of the kong staff considered doing — a god damn poll. You know those annoying popup messages everyone hates in the chat? Yeah. “What do you think of x feature?” “How much dick do you think we sucked from Gamestop?” “What do you think of y feature?”

Take your statistics and shove them up your ass. Want to get the true opinion of your social userbase? FUCKING ASK THEM! Don’t dillydally around, saying you’re collecting statistics from catatonic users and making your own biased inferences. You have, as you said, a social userbase. You know, the kind that made you want to update the site to be more social? PROTIP: Social people adore answering polls. I bet you anything that asking the userbase, allowing a maximum of one vote per user/IP, would be easier than painstakingly analyzing and drawing meaningless meaningful conclusions from the statistics.

Seriously guys, it won’t change. It’s probably orders from Gamestop anyway. The Admins, being paid by Gamestop now, don’t have a right to bitch unless they wanna lose their jerbs. less than 1% of people will ever use this feature.

thus, according to the admins, since 2% of the community does not matter, this feature should be removed.

Question for any Kong people who’re reading: when does this split testing end? When will I know if I’m getting my profile back or not?

I’ve already expressed this before, but when trying to find friends from the new profile, I literally had my eyes wandering around the page for 15 seconds before I found that small little box.

You have a smaller friends box, taking away focus from that feature.
And yet you claim you want more people to add friends.

Can we please get a more definitive update on the terminology and the profile? This is being handled in a ridiculous manner.

Is there any way to turn the activity feed completely off? Also as a suggestion how about letting users choose whether they want the new profile or not. An option to revert back to the old profile would be nice. You could call it classic mode or something.

Well, you could advertise the poll by sending a pm to kong users.That way most of them will answer the poll, or choose to remain silent.(which would have to be counted as feeling neutral about the update)

So how do we force our horrific bullshit down our users’ throats while making it seem like that they chose it?

I changed my profile to private. There should be a way to disable the activity feed.

Please, let us choose to remove the activity feed from our profile. Actually, three options would be good: public, disabled, or visible only to people I’ve friended.

I don’t really like the new redesign at all. The whole top right section is random, why is the level so huge? Since when did level matter.. Similarly the 6 stats next to it seem to be big just to fill up space?
And I don’t like how only my last 6 games are shown :( I know I haven’t made any good games yet, but when I do I’ll want them to be easily seen, reducing the number for no reason is a big minus broski.
I wouldn’t have a problem with the feed if you guys gave us more control over it. I don’t want every badge I get to go there O_O Thats so spammy! Leaving it simply for shouts (plus the option to post to feed when you get a new badge, instead of default) wouldn’t be that bad… But as it is the feed really turns me off from this update, enough so that I made my profile private.
I’m sure all these points have been made before but I don’t really feel like reading through this thread!

I really have to give the staff at Kong props. Thank you for listening and giving us the options of what to share in the feed. It really means a lot to be a part of a community that listens to its users. :)

When I reached level 65 I got the “Bilious has awesomely… awesomosity” message on my feed about it. Which I really liked. I kept it bumped up high in my feed, ’cos I wanted people to see it. When I looked at my profile today it was gone. Why?

I don’t like it, it’s too Facebook-ey.
When I am looking at a profile, I wanna see info, fav games, Items, Medals…
I like the “hover over a name” function though.

The feed item from earning The End hard badge has vanished. I wasn’t bumping this one, and there’s stuff older than it that’s still there. Getting irritated by feed items randomly vanishing. Please fix the feed’s functionality.

While you’re at it, I don’t want to show easy and medium badges I earn, please make that an option. I’m also not interested when other people earn them. Please make the front page activity feed customisable.

No contribution button anymore :C
