Why aren’t you finally doing something like this?

I have complained many times.. and always hear this “it’s a feature” bull, I gave up on checking PMs ever again. Deleting,blocking becomes tedious there is just too much.

What Kongregate PM used to be: 100% of messages I wanted to read
- Actual user-interaction with custom, personalized messages.
- Developer responses directed to me
- Kongregate Messages for awarded Missing Badges, Receipts of kreds-purchases etc.

What Kongregate PM is nowadays:
-Spam, spam and more spam.
( keep in mind this was after I already deleted roughly 50 messages and blocked tons of games (almost all MMOs).)

I gave up on deleting because it takes forever you can’t delete multiple Messages at once and blocking only blocks 1 individual game and not the entire spamfest.

Just saying, the messages from games themselves, if you block the game it’ll stop that.

^ Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Why does this keep coming up as a solution? It is not. I have wrote I have blocked and deleted everything for a couple of days but it just doesn’t stop because new stuff keeps coming and coming and you can’t opt out of this stupid spam-subscription. I have already blocked and deleted like 50 messages and I’m tired of it.

Games specifically. So looking at your messages: Freefall Tournament, Nano Kingdoms, Dawn of the Dragons and Talesworth. It keeps coming up because that is the solution, or at least half of it. Also, I must say… posting people’s private messages to you (unless you got permission from all of them) is really uncool.

Can’t you read? I said at least 3 times now: I DID. Do you even know how many games there are that use this “feature”. And new ones coming all the time? It does not matter how many you block (and again: believe me I have blocked TONS AND TONS).

Just for an example with the youtube analogy. It’s like youtube randomly subscribing you to 100 channels. Every day you get spammed by videos and messages, with the option to unsubscribe from the channels. You unsubrscribe from 50 and within 2 weeks you are automatically subscribed to 50 new ones leaving you once again at 100.

The option should NEVER be “subscribed my default” but always “subscribe by choice”. It is NOT a solution. Period. If you still can’t see why I can not help you anymore.

Thank you for the feedback. The product team is looking into making this more user friendly (on both sides!) This has definitely been more annoying than it’s worth, we agree.

The product team and programmers are working on something. I can’t say for sure what will happen, because that may change, but it’s going to be different than how it is now.

It’s evident that the majority, if not the entirety of the users voicing their opinions about this are in favour of a subscription-based system.
Why “come up with something” when the answer is being given to you right there?

Because a subscription-based system doesn’t allow for users to spam each other about Kreds games.
