Six active competitors (and two former players) have requested a game change. Seven people total have posted scores this round.
N.I.C.E. competition we have here.

Oh god, no! D:
(Actually, it would be better than this game though.)
What? I like that game, and I am actually good at it. :)
I simply don’t know why no one wants that game in a tournament.

This is a perfect presentation of why this game should be changed.

It’s not centered correctly. If you actually earned a 6-digit score, the “Final Score” line would be further to the left.

Every game relies on a person’s natural ability.
For example, with your suggestion of Dolphin Olympics 2, I would be eliminated simply because I don’t have the natural ability for it.

dolphin olympics 2 doesnt require natural ability. it is learned ability. you WILL fail at the game first few times you play it, you have to learn how the game works.
in the solipskier round, my high score before the tournament was 700k. i considered it one of the hardest hard badges on kong. by the time the tournament was over i hit 270mil or so. by playing the game over and over again, i learned what to do. i can also get the hard badge req at least 95% of the time.
there is a system in dolphin olympics 2 that pretty much guarantees a certain degree of success. you can do the impossible badge requirement every time(or at least almost every time) if you know the system.

Dolphin Olympics 2 is the game that brought me to Kong. I have played it more than any other game on the site. I know it inside and out, forward and backwards.
Yet I’ll never be able to get remotely close to the impossible badge. I just can’t physically do it.
Feel free to PM me a strategy for the impossible badge if you want, but I guarantee that it won’t help.

That happened with me as well. I was happy with 2 mil, and wasn’t sure how the heck can I get the medium badge. Then, I saved my team for a while with my 96 mil score.
And racefan, I can’t get the imp badge either. It’s one of the least awarded impossible badges. But it still isn’t natural ability if you can achieve it, it’s just that you learned a tactic to achieve it.

This game is stupid. And I’m not just saying that because I suck, too.

Sorry to the people who posted already. You get a pat on the back.
Edit: new round up, extension of one day put on.

Unless a pat on the back is going to get me through to the next round, I’m not sure that anything will.

Sorry but like over half of the players complained about the last game.

I played this for like 20 minutes and died 3-4 times total, then died 5 times on level 42.

Oh thank god. Sorry for kicking up a stink, but using at that game at this point was just stupid. Now I have guilt though.
And racefan does raise an interesting point… learning (i.e. the ability to acquire skills) is an ability, something you have or you don’t, so maybe all games are invalid in some sense. Though if you’re incapable of learning from your mistakes, I don’t know why you’d bother playing games in the first place — it would be a struggle just to survive.

You didn’t like the game because you couldn’t change your ability relative to everyone else. Well, congratulations—now you know how I feel.

Asmo, in the OP, I think you need to fix the name of the game that’s being played from Dolphin Olympics 2 to Boss Battle.

So, is it better to have a game where no-one can improve their score, or a game where some (if not most) will be able to improve their scores? I just don’t see the point in playing the reaction game more than once. I mean seriously, say for example I improve my score on the second attempt—what does it mean? Did my reaction time actually improve? What if my third attempt is worse than both of my previous attempts? Was it just bad luck? The fuck does it mean? And is there anything I can consciously do to affect proceedings?
Also, DO2 is an awesome game. I spent two weeks getting that impossible badge—damn right, two weeks learning from my mistakes. Luck had nothing to do with it.

i earned the impossible badge requirement for do2 once upon a time on a different site(i think it was agame) but i can be damned if i remember how i did it. all i remember is that after enough failures i was winning almost every time.
unfortunately for me, it was a couple years before i joined kong and ive forgotten what to do :P. like lou said, it was not luck. that game is almost all skill. minimal amount of luck with the star waves in space, but mostly skill.
