Submit your suggestions for things to be unlocked at a certain level and what level they should be unlocked at (and how many points they cost).

A free profile skin at levels 13, 26, 39, 52, and 65 would be cool, though honestly I probably wouldn’t use any. Other than that, I don’t feel there’s anything that could really be added.

I’m not really sure what they could incorporate, considering levels could solely be achieved by rating and achieving easy badges. Not to mention the illegitimate methods of acquiring such badges which surely some users still do.
Any sort of real-life reward seems implausible since it costs Kong money and many, many users are in the 60s range when it comes to levels.

remember when being level 40 was very respected
The only thing I can come up with is smileys and backgrounds for yourself in chat, which can be very distracting and are very useless. Honestly, the pleasure and satisfaction of leveling up is enough.

Level 65’s (or some sufficient amount of points) ought to get automatic entry into all beta testing of games.

I support this. The users with higher levels are more likely to play the hell out of beta games and give genuine feedback.

You have to be a responsible mod to get a chatroom and I think they should add more levels maybe up to 80 or around there :)

I’ve heard people suggesting profile backround as a level rewards. Not bad idea, you cannot abuse them and they’re for personal use only. However, these backrounds would need to differentate from K+ backrounds to still give incentive to people to buy K+
What K+ doesn’t offer are layout models (different coloring, backround images, glowing letters etc…) Before you say that it’s all accomplishable with 3rd party add-ons like Stylebot or FireBug, let me tell you that using these extensions is very onerous, leaves certain unchangeable gaps (sponsored game listings and facebook ‘like’ button are ones for example), requires certain browsers thus they are very limited
Even font changer add-on doesn’t reach certain parts of kong, like tags in games
Well, that’s just my suggestion

My suggestions:
1. Max level 256 – All your points minus the amount of points needed to be level 65

high level and account longevity should warrant a user becoming a super user. the ability to upvote and downvote other members, thus creating a reputation system. as well, beta testing games and other k+ perks.

When you reach level 65 you can ban one user of your choice permanently (You cannot choose anyone with a special icon such as moderator or developer, or another level 65 user).

Simple, only badge points count. Wouldn’t be very hard at all to add.
You definitely can only give kong-based rewards, anything else is just asking for abuse.
Small amounts of kreds(maybe 1 kred per 100 badge points) maybe a K+ subscription(monthly or yearly), just a couple things they could do.

- Differently colored profile backgrounds at certain levels. They should not have a picture, just mere color (like the default one is white, it could be changed to black at e.g. level 30).
- Quest tips: One per a Quest in a certain game, when you’d reach certain levels. It’d describe how to get a Badge for the quest, if you have hard time with it or something.
- Decrease forum 10-minute thread making timer to e.g. 5 minutes when reaching level 50 or something. Could be done in earlier levels, like 7.5 minutes in level 25.
- Extra characters in Kong chat, from 250 to something like 350 if the user has good history (hasn’t spammed) and has gotten level 30.
All the levels are mere suggestions. If you think some other level would be better, you can tell.

Fine. I choose you when I reach level 65.

Even 1 kred per 100 badge points would cost an enormous amount of money.

Not necessarily. It’s an investment. It’s the sort of thing that would keep people playing here longer than they might have originally planned.
People are more likely to buy kreds when they are given some for “free”. It’s for the same reason that a lot of mmo’s give you very tiny amounts of premium currency, it’s to tempt you to buy more(and it works) without giving you enough to do much of anything as a free player. The ones that don’t give you anything, make less money.
You could just set a cap on it, say, 100 kreds. If you really think that is a lot, then I’ll remind you that there are several kred offers where you can get 200+ kreds completely free. How is kong making money off of that? I dunno, but they must be, else they wouldn’t offer it.

Euch. You do know how many alternative accounts people have, right? I’m not sure if you know this, but getting 100 kreds (1 kred = 100 points, so 100 kreds is only 10000 points, or a bit less than a third of the way to level 65) is not hard. Games that put save files on our computer would instantly grant us badges if we loaded it onto another account. I could easily see this feature being mighty abusable.
Not to mention, of course, that this loses Kong huge money fast. Tons of people on this website already have 10000 points, and it gets easier everyday with new badges being added continuously. The kred offers aren’t completely free. You know Kongregate is owned by GameStop, right? They have some sort of a deal with the advertising company that does those offers, so Kong still gets something out of it and isn’t throwing $20 at you. This is the reason we don’t have kred or cash rewards for badges.
I’ll go back to what I said about the people who still actively cheat for badges, which there are many. If this system was to ever be incorporated, Kong would have to get really strict on this, and I don’t think they’re interested in using more resources to control something that loses them resources.
Can’t we just keep the level being a measure of e-peen and a sense of gaming achievement? That’s all it has to be.

They should create a shop system where you can buy backgrounds, cool pictures and other features. You have to pay like 2000 points for a background and 500 for picture/avatar.

Maybe after getting an obscure amount of points (like 75k, just so auto-raters can’t get it) you could get K+ and some extra perks for free.
