new update or..?

well whenever i open a new game it says “your game is loading, heart kongregate”
what is the point of this exactly?

Something to see instead of a blank screen! :D

I’ve never seen a blank screen. Now I have a one-to-two-second delay on all my games. Do not want.

I swear this is not adding any load time, it’s really just showing when the blank screen would be normally. For some of the bigger games, it can be a few seconds and we wanted to let people know that something was happening :)

honestly it should only appear on games with a blank screen loader..

It doesn’t push back the game’s pre-loader. It truly just replaces the blank image that was behind the game. We’re not replacing any other loading stuff, we just stuck an image where there was once a blank screen.

But we’re getting the image where there never was a blank screen…

It seems to be the game being loaded after the Kong API instead of before?

It’s not the image but something else. There’s a couple of seconds where it seems to be doing nothing after loading the image but before loading the game starts.

Are we really upset over a few seconds?

Yeah but then there’s the whole “seconds can add up” thing.

I don’t think this is adding anytime to the game loading, just pointing it out.

Sometimes my game doesn’t even load anymore, and it’s just this dumb loading screen.
