I joined a few moths ago (feb i think) but i haven’t got round to getting a good look at the site till today :] I’m a big fan of online games and this site looks like a good place to play games, earn badges and make friends.

Hello, welcome to Kongregate. The chat rooms are (by far) the most sociable aspect of the site. I recommend that you just hop into one (you’ll randomly be put into a room) and start chatting. Most rooms have regulars, so you might find some resistance at first, but it shouldn’t be a problem! If you don’t feel the vibes from one room, there’s tonnes more to try out.

Pro-tip: The best way to make friends is to not spam/troll. ;)

There’s already an official introduction thread. This website has two main social sections: the forums, which you already are acquainted with by now, and the chat rooms. Both work in the same manner though; simply go with the flow and you’ll be integrated in the community very well. Even if you feel that the atmosphere of a chat room/forum section isn’t of your taste, keep in mind that there are over 195 room chats (excluding game chats) and 120 forum sections which have unique communities. This thread will explain everything you should know about forum posting. If you have any questions, simply ask away in the chat rooms!

Also, chatrooms may be the best way to begin with. Note that there’s over 190 chatrooms (Most of them speaks English as their official language), each one having unique community which you can observe and then verdict if you like to stay in one of them
