Quarter-Finals: Shooting

The heat is on, the competition is fierce, but you will need to stay cool under pressure in the Shooting Range to reach the semi-finals. There are 3 different games for this round, and to get to the next round, all you need is a top 7 finish in any of them. You may only be on one hi-score list, so only your most recent screenshot counts. You are allowed to remove your previous choice of game and go for a different game if you want to.

Oh, and one very important thing to remember. The next round is the semi-finals and you will be in teams of 7. Each team of 7 in the Semi-Finals will be decided by which game you reached the top 7 in this round. So for example, the 7 top scorers in Sierra 7 will make up Team Sierra for the Semi-Final. The Semi-Final will be team vs team vs team, with all the surviving members of that team moving through to the final. Only a small amount of people in losing teams will also see the final.

The 3 Quarter Final Games:
Bullseye (Interstellar Marines), Get the highest score in the first level, Bullseye (Intro) {This is the first Unity game to ever be used in an official tournament. Unfortunately, some computers can not access Unity.}

Sierra 7, Get the highest score in Gun Running and Long Range {Available in Challenges. Complete the campaign mode to unlock different guns, and use Loadout to change your weapons – some weapons will make this easier! EDIT: If you score the maximum of 28,000 in Gun Running, you can submit a score in Long Range. If more than 7 people get the perfect 28,000, then the Long Range scores will decide who progresses instead of luck.}

The Gun Game, Get the most shots in MP5 Accuracy Mode {Access by clicking Play, Challenge, MP5, Accuracy. It is likely we will have at least 7 people getting a perfect 30 for this game, so if this happens then it will be randomly decided which 7 move on and make the team – will you take the chance?}

You have until 00:34 (GMT) on August 6th and you can see the scores you have to beat in the spreadsheet by clicking here.

As we’re now only 2 rounds away from the final, I’m giving away clues to what the 3 final games will be! If you can work out what the games might be, PM me! If you make it to the final, you will get 1 medal point for each game you work out and have PMed to me. You have until the end of the semi-final to work all 3 clues out.

Very cool idea; let’s see if a whole bunch of the high scorers go into one game and switch at the last minute :P

Also, I think it won’t be Prisoner’s Dilemma: the best competitors will try to get a better team than the “lucky people team”, making the only people with Gun Game perfect scores the ones who couldn’t get top7 scores on the other games.

And that’s why I think that the “lucky people team” will be very screwed on the next round.

Guess I’ll throw this in to start off, but it won’t last long and I won’t be able to improve on it much… I played the level about 3 times and my computer started overheating and lagging like hell.
on the bright side, I used that lag to get the Pyro impossible (cut down 14 seconds on one level time haha)

If what I’m thinking is correct, it would only make sense for each team to be competing within the team! It would be the semi-finals, so having one person from each team move on for a three person final sounds like what may happen. :P

Wait, for Sierra 7 and Bullseye, are we using the high scores menu, the badges menu, or the chat menu?

I dont really like the plans for the next round. It is just going to be a game of landing on the right team. If I don’t get certain people on my team, I’m not even sure why I would bother qualifying for any team.

If this is going to happen, I think it would be nice to have a solo immunity score for the next round too. Im going to be very bitter if I score in the top again and lose because my team doesn’t score high. It just is not fun to score well and still be eliminated by no fault of your own.
