Gnarly Argle Ska needs help, everyday, there is spammers, mods getting called in, this chat needs help, apparently from what I have seen everyday from being there the past 2 weeks, its always drama, always fighting, no mods are ever coming here to be a regular. If a mod is willing to handle this and come here and be a reg and make all this stop, please come. Thank You
Sincerely, gravey

2 weeks isn’t really enough time to get to know a room.
That said, the best way to get a mod in the room is to call them in there. If you call them enough times, and welcome them with open arms, then they just might stay.

2 weeks is enough for me since everytime its chatty and every single time it is arguements, only 10 percent of the time the chat is actually mature and regular chatting and nice people

Then they deserve to wallow in the cesspit that they’ve created.

that is a over exaggeration grave. we have really good days. when we need mod, we call them. alot of our regulars feel uncomfortable around mods, causeing alot of commotion in chat.

Mods wont do anything bad to you if you all behave and be nice, not talkin about you, talkin about how most of the room is in general

I’m there right now, it seems fine. If you want the room to be better, work with the “good” regulars there and make it happen. You shouldn’t rely on a moderator to make things better. My interpretation of a Room Owner is to be the watchful eye that gently steers the room here and there when it starts to go off the path a bit, not an enforcer.
If you want something, work for it.

Just ban them all. Really.
The majority of them are white trash 12 year olds pretending to be swag gangstas on the internet. Like this guy:

Edit Never mind, I guess that’s just Chocolate Hostage. These guys are just RPing 11 year olds, and a spammer. But seriously this room is a mess and in desperate need of a moderator.

*cries a little* CH still rests in slot #2 of my favorites list. It’s been a while since I could frequent.
On topic: Everyone also has a different threshold of what’s mature or not. Inside joke context is also a complete loss to anyone new. Hell, I have years old jokes ranging from “logging off” and “headdesk” to a certain mod “being on top” that only some would understand in complete innocence or comprehend at all. Putting an identifier, labeling, or even defining a room on Kong is no simple thing. Hell, I can’t do it completely for the rooms I frequent and I’ve been here approaching four years.

Mutes ahoy! (and Reporting too)
I’m sorry to hear that, but self moderation is the best moderation of all time.

You do always have the option to mute and report. Yes, it’s an inconvenience to see one side of the conversation, and yes, it doesn’t solve the problem for the entire chat at once like a silence would. However, it does set the example that muting is acceptable and should be used, especially if when used by the regulars. As Adv0catus has stated, using regulars that contribute to chat in a positive manner to steer the spammers or trolls away.
Another option, but one that you may be the least inclined to take, is finding a new room. There are quiet rooms, loud rooms, moderated rooms, self-moderated rooms, role play rooms and abandoned rooms. Some are inclusive, some are exclusive, but you may have to search around to find the right one that fits you.

Absolutely! Different rooms have different atmospheres, it all depends on what you like.
Personally, I hear Crabblesteen Whateverthepop is pretty cool these days. ;3

I haven’t been to CH for quite some time. I wonder how it’s doing & if Twoam still lives there.

While I’m a bit hesitant, if you’re looking for a very quiet chat, “Lantea” is always open. Note that it’s highly inactive, but a nice place to relax for a bit.

I go there at times, I believe thats where I met you, same goes to The Underground, those are 2 great quiet rooms that would be a really great room once it gets more people there
