He describes himself as a prodigious person who periodically pursues playing puzzle platformers and plays piano perfectly for personal pleasure but proudly performs for other people.

Presenting a popular player with plentiful points…puh…puh..too many P’s!

Hi eProdigy.
Ohai.

Real Name
The name’s Gunn. Dillon Gunn.

Location
Somewhere.

What is the origin of your username?
Well, I wanted to create a unique username, such as Prodigy, but it was taken, unfortunately, so I added an ‘e’ to it, and voila! And what does the ‘e’ stand for? It can mean everythingProdigy, emperorProdigy, evilProdigy… but I prefer epicProdigy.

What brought you to Kong?
Before Kongregate, I used to play on Physics Games all the time, and while searching for one of the games, I came upon Kongregate. I first joined Kongregate back in 2009. I thought the community was nice, and the site hosted decent games and badges.

Favorite game on Kong?
A mix between Sarah’s Run, Not To Scale, and Elemental Balance ♥

Do you have a favorite chat room? You have any favorite part of the forums? Any friends on here you would like to mention or give a shout out?
When I’m not room-hopping, I reside over by the Labyrinth chatroom. The folks are nice, the owner is awesome, and there are usually a couple of mods in there, so it’s pretty much troll-free.
My favorite part about the forums is probably all the newbies. It’s fun to help them out on Kong.
I’d also like to shout out to a couple of close friends of mine… shouts into the ears of MadJedi, DragonArcherZ, and mattihew

What do you do when you’re not on Kongregate?
I usually spend my time learning and creating. Most of the time, I’m studying on the computer (I’m homeschooled), learning/composing a piano piece, reading, and thinking out and writing ideas for my book. I’m even starting to get into art and drawing more and more.

If Kongregate gave badges for piano skills, what would you be able to get?(impossible, hard, make up a SUPEREPICINVISIBLENINJABADGE?)
An impossible badge at the most.

You have Ritual
and the Banshee
up in the Kongregate Art section. It sounds like you have a dragon planned next!
How long did each drawing take? There seems to be a lot of detail in each.

It took me about a week or two to draw each.

Could you talk more about your art? Do the characters in the ritual represent anybody? What has drawn you towards Celtics?

I’m currently taking private tutored art lessons… II find it easy to imagine an image and put it down on paper, adding more and more detail as I go along. It’s probably because I’m studying magick history and arts that inspired me to draw such things. The characters represent… wizards, I guess? I love studying myths, legends, ancient civilizations, etc. Even if I think some of the things are a bunch of Merlin’s droppings, it’s still very interesting, if you know what I mean.

On top of all this, you are writing a book. Incredible! What’s the book about, and how has that process gone so far?
The book is called Thomas Foster and the Quantum Paradox (working title…). It is a mystery/fiction book about a time experiment that disrupts the time flow around the area with disastrous results. Foster, and his partner, Matthew Adams must get to the bottom of the mystery to stop the madman behind it all, before all time is lost.
I’ve started writing the first chapter, and will post excerpts on my blog, Prodigious Productions
It’s also going to be the first book in a series of Thomas Foster books. I hope to get this series published. Stay tuned!
Also, I’m thinking of making a completely new series during or after Thomas Foster. It will be about two brothers of wizard descent, who discover their magic abilities. As they grow older, they start going their own ways: one, ascending greedily to power; the other, using his powers for good and greatness. The two brothers did not know that they would become the subject of the greatest wizard rivalries of all time.
Thomas Foster is planned to be finished before the end of this year, with the second (and maybe third!) book next year.

Are you a Brony? Your opinion on Bronies?
I haven’t watched any MLP episodes yet, but after the opening theme song, I instantly became a Brony. Heck, I’m even learning how to play the theme song on my piano.
I think Bronies are fascinating things that are deeply misunderstood and should have the right to watch whatever they want.

The witch in Snow White used an apple to cast her spell. The witch in Brave used a cake to cast her spell. Have witches gone too far, and should cake be considered “Switzerland” by witches?
The cake is a lie!

Vampire hunting, Zombie apocalypse, any protips would be appreciated to survive either one.
It’s too simple. Wear a full body metal armor set to conceal every part of your body. Try biting through that, vampires/zombies!

What’s your favorite quote?

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.” ~Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Harry Potter

Your comments on this photo from the Mars Curiosity rover?

This.

What do you think of roleplay in chat?
I think it’s a great use of imagination and creativity, but should be used sparingly and with control.

What are your thoughts on global warming, especially considering this most recent piece of questionable visual evidence?

Apparently fake. The penguin should be overcooked by now, the polar bear’s head cannot move in that direction, and they’re on the wrong pole.

Megaman is actually malware? Is this propaganda from Dr. Light, or is Megaman a terrorist? Do you have any conspiracy theories or unknown backstories to games you want to share?

I don’t know much about the series, but it does seem like Megaman is indeed a terrorist. Who knew that there would be such a backstory behind a 16-bit game o_o

Thank you for a great interview eProdigy!

How much of the 2nd and 3rd Thomas Foster books have you planned at this point?

Considering all of the work you have done, do you think you will ever get into developing games on Kongregate?

I always thought it meant “Ethernet prodigy” as an online prodigy. My world just crumbled :(

Is that allowed? :O

Genius!

Which pole should they be on? *giggles*

Thank you too. <3
I’ve planned the basis for the second Thomas Foster book, but I haven’t any ideas for book three yet. Though, I’m sure it will come. I hope to finish the first book this year and write the other two next year. I have lots of surprises coming…
I’m already working on a Kongregate game with StencylWorks, but I don’t think I’ll get into coding too much.

Many thanks :D I created those two and a couple more that aren’t published yet just with some sketching tools and patience. I haven’t taken any art lessons at the time, but I’ve started being tutored by an art teacher a week ago. We’re starting with watercolor painting. I can’t wait until we get to charcoal/sketching =)
Speaking of which, I should probably upload my watercolor pieces…

Awesome drawings! The detail you put into those is unreal good.
