Point system

What do you think the points that we acquire through playing games should be used for? In the FAQ, they mention points, but they haven’t decided what to do with them yet. I honestly think that they should allow us to use our points to do one of 3 things; the first is to allow us to purchase Kreds (100 for 5,000 points) allow us to acquire special content, and/ or allow us to unlock specific games as our level gets higher. What do you guys think? And…begin!

Profile skins/backgrounds, and anything else aesthetic that can be thought of.

kreds have some value. points do not. therefore they can’t be exchanged.

i think every 10,000 points, you should get a new car.

points are fine as they are. you shouldn’t really get anything for them besides what you get already: higher level, and rarely beta access to games

sometimes i think some people post just to get a higher number of posts by there name=the same people post on every board lol

and i think points should be used for more options on our account

also raise the level limit.

Kreds is out of the question because of abuse. It’s also extremely easy to just use your save files for a different account and get kreds that way.

There are things they could do, but kreds can never be an option. Even giving as little as 1 kred for reaching level 65 could and would be abused.

Yes it will really be really great to get kreds or mini/virtual gifts for points. Quite a few sites are giving out real rewards for achievements these days. Xbox has already announced that players will be getting Microsoft points from Achievements this fall. In the flash gaming arena, tremorgames.com gives out prizes for achievements/points

See, the thing about that is.. it costs money. Kongregate already gives out a lot of incentives and is really good with their revenue splits. So… their margins are already thinner then most, so you want to make it even harder for them to keep the lights on by making it ridiculously easy to abuse the system and get free stuff.

Points are fine as they are.

It would be cool if you get signatures, usertitles, emblems, and stuff in your forum profile with your points too.
