[Edit: Dayovernight, it’s really inappropriate to call someone out in public. If you feel that someone would (or wouldn’t) make a good moderator, contact trickyrodent, Zshadow or IAmTheCandyman privately. They’re the community administrators and they’re the ones that actually do all the homework and decide who becomes a mod.]
[Edit2: Also, I’m pretty sure they’re decent judges of character. ;)]

So do room mods have another logo?

No.

What happens to the room owners? Will that stay the same? As room mods now function as mod in that chatroom only, will the R disappear from the owner?

Room owners haven’t changed, since they’re also global mods.

For the time being they are. In the future, room owners could potentially be global or room mods, it’s just that rooms are currently only owned by global mods since that’s all there were up until just now. They’ll still function as you’d expect: if you’re in a room you own, you get an R, if you’re in a room you mod, you’ll get an M, for global and room mods alike.

I’m looking forward to seeing room mods stepping up in the months to come, and taking ownership of a room. :3

It would be interesting to see who Kongregate picks. adv0, qazzaq and the rest of the new mods started the system with a blast.

Moderators can request to be owners of an unowned room if they are active in it for long enough, so it all depends on how many rooms need an owner and whether or not they want to be ROs.

I remember back when you were a wandering gamer, and we lured you in to PH. <3
I think the best thing we can do is encourage our new mods.

MadJedi did the same for me, to Labyrinth. I had MC’d him to AI#1 and he convinced me to re-join Room chat for the first time in months.

I’m quite amazed how many of these new mods I know.

I’ve been in Labyrinth for a while, and I love that some people that I think will be very good mods were modded. I think it can only help to further increase the activity of the room.

Also think it’s a good idea to have more focused mods, while still having some that can go anywhere. I can imagine that sometimes you just don’t want that big orange M to show everywhere you go, so it’s nice that some people can effectively take a time out if they want.

Adv0catus promised to give me the access codes to the secret mod forum if he ever became a mod, and now he’s refusing to honor the agreement. Is there some way I can report him?

Bon… Désolé si je ne communique pas dans votre langue, mais je parle très peu anglais, et j’ai eu recours au traducteur pour comprendre.

D’abord, félicitation pour ce nouveau système de modération. Je pense que cela sera un “plus” pour la gestion des salles. La plupart du temps, tout se passe bien, sauf quelques “trolls” qui viennent perturber l’ambiance.

Si je prends la parole, c’est pour vous signaler mon désaccord sur la gestion des 3 salles francophones misent à notre disposition. J’ai constaté au fil des jours que les modérateurs qui étaient “élus” ne provenaient que d’une seule salle, et que lorsqu’ils avaient ce statut, restaient pratiquement à demeure dans celle-ci. Ne serait-il pas possible de les informer que lorsque 3,4 modérateurs sont en ligne, qu’ils laissent le “room owner” gérer la salle, et qu’ils viennent modérer dans l’une des 2 autres salles francophones ? Nous avons l’impression que nous sommes des exclus de Kongregate, et lorsqu’un pseudo vient troller ou spammer notre “chatbox”, nous devons faire appel à eux par mp ou par transfert de salles.
En ce qui me concerne, je suis à 70% sur “The Balcony” (de très rares apparitions de modérateurs, car c’est une salle pratiquement vide -20/25 pseudos en ligne) ou sur Huis Clos [salle francophone, mais les modérateurs ne viennent que si on les appelle :( ]

En espérant que ce message sera bien explicite, je vous souhaite une bonne continuation dans la gestion de ce site, et de nombreux nouveaux membres. Bons jeux à tous.

Désolé si ce que je dis sort bizarre. J’utilise un traducteur aussi bien!

Le point essentiel de ce changement est que chaque chambre a sa propre personnalité et de la culture. Mais vous avez raison! C’est surtout à voir avec les chambres de langue anglaise, car il ya beaucoup d’entre eux.

Je voudrais pouvoir vous donner une réponse, mais je suis vraiment désolé que je ne peux pas. Je ne sais pas ce qui va se passer dans les chambres non-anglophones. Je pense qu’ils sont traités comme d’habitude, du moins pour le moment.

Non anglophones de langue chambres ont toujours été un peu bizarre, en raison de leur peu d’utilisateurs et d’être gérée par une société anglophone dans un pays essentiellement anglophone.

Je ne peux imaginer que les administrateurs sont conscients de cela et ils vont trouver quelque chose. Si vous souhaitez contacter l’un d’eux directement, ils sont trickyrodent, Zshadow et IAmTheCandyman.
