Honestly, I think whoever made Vertigo was trolling us. The thing that killed me the most while playing it was trying to avoid spikes by hugging a wall and finding out the hard way that those smooth wall surfaces will kill you too.

It aspires to Meat Boy-esque difficulty, but expects the player to do it with clunky, barely-responsive controls. And that part about needing to unlock the ability to acquire trophies? That’s just plain unforgivable.

Kongregate should have NEVER given badges to this thing. Not even if their only motivation in doing so was to say “This game has been slain!”

If SkullFace was badged, (Which it definitely should be btw) it wouldn’t be for the promotion, since it came out a month ago and all.
But I am curious as to what the final game is gonna be. I feel like it’s gonna be something that I should be able to predict, but I ran out of ideas after Icycle!

The event isn’t over yet. It usually takes about 2 weeks, though.

Meh, I guess since it’s wildly popular, it should have a badge. Kind of a shame to see the promotion end so blandly, though. I’ll make a post later with some thoughts about each of the games. All I need is the Vertigo Llama imp and then I’ll have 100% of the badges featured.

Kong gave an idle game a badge. Previously they gave that bubble popping game two badges even though its luck based, and gave 3 badges to a game where all of its art and sounds were stolen from other games.

I hope Kong gives just chatting a badge next so they can say they gave badges to all of the game types they said they wouldnt
