Why to badge a game that is full of bugs? Isn’t Kids vs. Ice Cream enough?
Also, did someone check StrikeForce Kitty 2? I didn’t try it, but I remember how the first one had unresponsive controls, bugs that killed my cats without apparent reason, sound effects that stop working after a while, a terrible inventory system, and a full lot of LAG. Are these problems corrected in this sequel? Im asking because, if it has the same “quality” of the 1st one, I wouldn’t even think about badging it.

Is 0 games or 1 game badged a week going to be the new standard now?

The dev said you have to get a good comp to play his games. Basically it’s terrible at coding. At least he admitted it after ignoring all comments since strike force kitty 1.

Good comp for what? Strike Force Kitty is basic game with nothing spectacular about its graphics or gameplay.

I think the game full of bugs he was referring to was Sentry Knight 2. Its not even possible to complete the game right now because its so buggy.
Strikeforce Kitty 2 is buggy as well tho. And the lag is horrible, even with a good comp.

If we go back to last year a bit, there have been 5 badges in the past 36 days, basically averaging 1 badge per week over that stretch (which can be extrapolated out to ~50 badges for the year). If just this year is taken into account, we’re looking at being on pace for 73 badges in the year, which is roughly 100 less than were added last year.
Hopefully these numbers don’t actually mean there are going to be so few, but considering greg said that he was going to add badges “tomorrow” on the 14th, and it’s been a week since then still without anything, I’m not sure what to think.

Yea I remember the good old days when there were atleast 2-3 games badged per week. Now we are lucky if we get 1. Its pretty sad considering badges are a big appeal of this site.

I think that Break the Limits! deserves a badge or two as well, having just played through it. Not sure about API, but the rating is certainly good enough.

Well, Greg had Rawismojo to help him back then, but is alone now…

It’s definitely a good badges candidate, although it would absolutely be a one easy badge-only game; it’s too short for anything more.

I agree, pretty much what I was thinking as well.

greg needs to get with badging these older games so he can start focusing on newer ones. Just a heads up I think Enchanted Cave 2 will be a discussion point in a week or so.
Also I feel Caravaneer 2 deserves some sort of badge, maybe you could just do something similar to that of the 1st one seen as money is the only visible API.

Perhaps a silly question, but is it coming up with names for the badges that’s slowing down their release?
I ask because this seems like an inevitable issue when badges apparently require both unique and ‘punny’ names. Perhaps it might be time to throw in the towel and simply release – more frequently – badges with banal matter-of-fact names? Or would that betray the ‘spirit’ of kongregate?
(I apologise if this has been brought up before. I have not read all 105 pages of this thread.)

Achilles 2, the sequel to the original Achilles ( which by the way has badges) deserves to be badged, as it has API and has a 3.85 Rating. Plus Filler 2 could use some badges ( its original sequel had badges, and it currently sits at a respectable 3.86 Rating. Just my two cents worth.

Coming up with names is almost certainly the fastest part of the process. Testing the API is the time sink.
