It also lags the hell out of my PC (which is crap anyway but decent enough to play some games) and has a bug where upgrades fail to save properly. And it’s a grindfest. I can’t see how it has such a high rating. I could only survive long enough to get one medium badge.

The developer of the badged game Command & Control released the sequel [Command & Control: Spec Ops](http://www.kongregate.com/games/macondos/command-control-spec-ops) yesterday. Maybe something to take a look at. Currently no high-scores so I don’t know if there’s an API yet. Only 150 gameplays so far but eh.
* * *
**Edit** :
Easy for one of the easier in-game achievements;
Medium for x stars;
Medium for completing the game on any difficulty OR
Hard for completing the game on Veteran;
Hard for x time in survival mode.

I wholeheartedly agree.

The rating was around 4 when it was badged, if I recall. In most cases where a badged game has a rating well below 3.75, I’d guess it was at least that high before it was badged.

Can we make a Funny-comic games Quest, based on games which can make you laugh with lots of jokes and more?
Ruudi’s game would perfect fit there in this quest.

Wild Wasteland is currently at 3.3k gameplays with a 3.7 rating.
Command & Control: Spec Ops is currently at 2.7k gameplays with a 3.7 rating.

Two cool games that can receive badges, indeed!

I know I’ve been absent this week, but the quick update is that I’ve been playing lots of [Shop Heroes](http://www.kongregate.com/games/cloudcade/shop-heroes). There will be a medium badge for reaching shop level 10, and a yet-to-be-determined easy badge for something sooner.
I’m looking into [Reach the Core](http://www.kongregate.com/games/mmx95/reach-the-core). That’s a very high priority if things look good. I’m removing Reckless Speed due to the feedback here, and Infectonator: Christmas because the developer never got back to me (and Christmas is over now…).
I really appreciate all the suggestions here for older games, even if I’m not directly responding to each suggestion. There are often lots of little issues with older games that aren’t immediately obvious, but I am starting the process of digging through them a bit more aggressively.
But it’s an inescapable fact that there just aren’t going to be as many new badges on the site as there were a few years ago. Web-game development has slowed a lot, and badging older games is a finite process that takes much more time than adding badges to newer games. At some point I may decide to lower my standards a bit, but I’m really hesitant to do this because games in the 3.7-and-below range tend to get hit especially hard by badge-hunters in terms of the effect on ratings/comments, which is a negative experience for developers and also indicates that players themselves are having a negative experience.
But there’s no excuse for not badging some older games that were overlooked. Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions, and please keep them coming. I’m coming back from vacation mode a bit here, and digging through older games will likely be a high priority next week.

Maybe higher priority could also be placed on cool and unique quests rather than new badges? It would place higher importance on old badges and incentivize users to acquire those old badges to complete said quests. I know it would for me.
[obligatory mention about doing something with the defunct Kong Arcade badges]

What about giving badges to quests that had some of the games removed?

Tanoto, mobile badges and web badges are considered separate since Kong has a separate section for mobile games and most mobile browsers don’t/can’t run Flash.

Reach the core has some lag issues (for some people?). This is one of the games which require a lot of refreshing. Otherwise a really nice variant of those digging games.

My computer is at the very low-end of specs (it’s 11 years old) and it runs the game just fine.

Might have been problems on a different site. But for me the game became close to unplayable after upgrading the viewing radius for a while. Also the problem is confirmed by the dev in one of the comments.
