I must say I really LOVED Symbiosis , despite everyone’s reaction ’cause it looks like Kingdom Rush. But I must say that in one single hour I easily obtained all the badges, thus declaring that hard badge should have been a medium.

Just a few minor suggestions for Bubble Tank Tower Defense 2.
I’d say that a double hard is better than an impossible in this scenario, since there are over 200 different levels and modes combined, but much fewer individual levels. There are 4 difficulties, plus a bunch of modes which only spawn one type of unit for every level, then survival.
So for the first hard badge, probably complete each level once, then for a hard badge, say around 100 different modes completed.

Bubble Tanks Tower Defense 2, again no names since I’m a nub.
easy – 30 EXP
medium – Complete The Big Cross and/or Fork In The Road on Normal
hard – Complete all levels
I’d like another badge for completing all levels on Insane, but I’m in no position to say how difficult that is right now.

Just thought I’d post about SkullFace.
Fun little platformer.
I was thinking something like an Easy for world one complete, a medium for all three worlds complete, and maybe a speedrun type hard, if not another medium for all gold.
Edit: After playing through worlds two and three, I think getting all golds could definitely be a hard.

Maybe on the game /ESCAPE\ they should add a medium badge.
The game already has an Easy and a Hard Badge, Why not somewhere in between?
Easy – 100m
Medium -[To be added, around 250m]
Hard – 350m
What do you guys think? The Easy badge is easy to win, but the hard is pretty hard.

I’m sure it was considered at the time, but was decided against. I don’t think there needs to be 3 badges focusing on one aspect.

I was thinking more like an impossible badge for either 750, or 1000m…but ideally, it would have an impossible instead of a hard badge, not as well as. I do think that reaching that sort of height requires a sort of deeper understanding of how the game works, whereas the current hard badge you can just get by jumping and praying.

Agreed, though 750 or 1,000 seems a little much. Speaking as someone with 764, 600 seems more like it.

SkullFace (Current rating: 3.81)

Blast Off, Bonehead Badge (medium ~ 15 points)
Complete World 2
[] World 2 complete

Heart Container Badge (medium ~ 15 points)
Defeat the boss and collect the heart
[] World 3 complete

SkullRace Champion Badge (impossible ~ 60 points)
Optimise all three zones
[] <130 seconds in World 1
[] <145 seconds in World 2
[] <225 seconds in World 3
Of the 3 speedrun impossibles there are, not one is on a platformer. Platformer speedruns are, in my opinion, the best speedruns. It’s about time one finally gets put on. The times are difficult to get, but certainly not extreme; as I’m typing this, my world times are 128.74, 135.1, and 221.92 respectively. The best times I know of allow for times as low as 126.05, 126.9, and 216.49.
Also, the names kind of suck, so suggestions there would be appreciated. :3

Skullface is what meatboy wishes it was, but never could be. I feel like the game is superior to meatboy in nearly every way. I don’t know about the times you chose, but it certainly deserves badges of some form or another.

SkullFace (current rating: 3.81) [STENCYL]
Bone, James Bone Badge (easy ~ 5 points)
Complete World 1 and obtain the jetpack.
[ ] World 1 complete (best so far: )
Quit Playing Games With My Heart Badge (medium/hard ~ 15/30 points)
Defeat the sinister boss and recover your heart.
[ ] World 3 complete (best so far: )
Before the Level Knows You’re Dead Badge (impossible ~ 60 points)
Push each world to the limit.
[ ] World 1 complete, <130 seconds (best so far: )
[ ] World 2 complete, <150 seconds (best so far: )
[ ] World 3 complete, <230 seconds (best so far: )
.
.
Completing world 1 would be harder than most easy badges, but isn’t sufficiently difficult for a medium. Game completion runs into the same problem; it kind of falls into that grey area between medium and hard. I feel a speedrun-based badge is definitely warranted here: that kind of optimization is at the very “heart” of SkullFace’s gameplay.

World 2 I can see why you’d bump it up to 150, but world 3… 225 took less time than 130 on W1 or 150 on W2, 230 seems like it’s making it a bit too easy. :P
Also, awesome easy badge name.

I was really excited about your name suggestion for the imp, but then I realized you were probably referencing this, and not this.

I am blocked at like 136 seconds or so on world 1. I just don’t see how to improve it.
I hate speed runs, but I feel like this game does speed runs well since it seems that the level always spawns everything in the exact same place on start, so there really is no “random” element to it.

The annoying thing about speedrunning this game is the start of each level…you have to time any levels with a jump at the beginning just perfect, or you’ll lose a couple of precious hundredths of a second, which adds up. Reminds me of the Pyro imp.

Oh look, ‘Before the Level Knows You’re Dead’ that Prec DIDN’T get used in UA3. There it fitted, but I just don’t see the connection with this badge name and the game.

Can’t it be both? :)

Hey, I’ll have you know I also used that name for a possible Quietus badge! Anyway, the logic here is that the main character is a skeleton (so, arguably not alive) who’s missing his heart. It would probably be in his best interest to finish the levels quickly; there’s usually a time limit with this sort of thing.
