[**Pause Ahead**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/askiisoft/pause-ahead) (current rating: 3.71)
**The Wizard of Pause** Badge (easy ~ 5 points)
Pause ahead through level 5.
[] Level 5 complete (best so far: )
**Minority Report** Badge (hard ~ 30 points)
Outlast the Architect.
[] Game complete (best so far: )
**Some Towers are Scaled, Others are Slain** Badge (impossible ~ 60 points)
Take control of your fate, wherever it leads.
[] Game complete, 300 seconds or less
[] Game complete, 10 deaths or less
[] Nihil secret completion time, 300 seconds or less
.
As Lou said, the API stats only relate to game completion at the moment (it tracks completion times, number of deaths to complete, and time taken to complete both paths of the secret level). His suggestions for an easy and medium seem accurate, although the API would have to be added. A second hard (for finding all three secrets and completing Nihil) is also a possibility. My current impossible suggestion could probably use some refinement.

[**Dino Run : Enter Planet D**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/pixeljamgames/dino-run-enter-planet-d) (current rating: 3.67) [NEEDS API]
**Velocirapture** Badge (medium ~ 15 points)
Lead your raptor to paradise.
[] Game complete (best so far: )
.
The task here is roughly comparable to the medium from the original Dino Run, but the last level doesn’t allow a lot of room for error (the wall of death appears behind you almost immediately), so a hard wouldn’t be entirely unwarranted. A medium is still probably the better option.

And since I’m bringing up this Dino Run, I might as well revisit another:
[**Dino Run : Marathon of Doom**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/pixeljamgames/dino-run-marathon-of-doom) (current rating: 3.75)
**Jurassic Lark** Badge (easy ~ 5 points)
Survive the apocalypse long enough to score 10,000 points.
[] 10,000 points scored (best so far: )
**The Persistence of Raptory** Badge (hard ~ 30 points)
Outrun the pyroclastic wall of death and rack up 100,000 points.
[] 100,000 points scored (best so far: )

The Pause Ahead rating is up to 3.72! Look, Greg: just give it the impossible badge it deserves, and if anyone asks in a week when the rating is 2.72, just lie and say that the rating was 4 before the badges. I won’t tell anyone, honest. And who cares about this ‘rating’ thing anyway. Everyone acts like it’s something other than a single derived figure calculated from a massive set of data. It’s totally arbitrary that Kong displays the mean rating rather than, say, the mode. Hell, I bet Pause Ahead’s rating _is_ a 4 if we’re talking about the mode, so you wouldn’t even need to lie per say.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Unity game badged, and [Candle Man](http://www.kongregate.com/games/spotlightor/candle-man) just came out.
I haven’t played much of it yet, but at least a medium for completion is what I’m seeing at the moment, and if a badge on it isn’t named IAmTheCandleMan, I’ll be slightly upset and frown. I may update this later with actual suggestions or just wait til Prec eventually posts some.
Edit: I went with the latter.

Don’t do IAmTheCandleMan. It’s far too obscure of a reference. Inside jokes just don’t work as badge names.

An old game for sure, but, have any of you played Blosics 2? I think you can get a good few badges for that. Maybe…
[Blosics 2](http://www.kongregate.com/games/igrek/blosics-2) it has a rating of 4.0
5 – Easy
Complete 5 levels
15 or 30 – Difficulty really depends on skill
Complete all (30) levels and (30) challenges
and maybe…
30 – Hard
Get a score of ‘x’
‘x’ being a score that is hard to achieve, and requires you to go back in previous levels to improve your score. This, would also give a purpose for the very last unlocked feature when completing all 30 challenges
Don’t really know what you’d call the badges, if, it was considered.
Blosics 2 also has a level pack published on kongregate too

Because that’s five years old and things have changed since then?
Specifically, debug output goes to the console now, so you’ll want to look there (Tools \>\> Web Console in Firefox, Tools \>\> JavaScript Console in Chome). (Also, debug\_level=3 shows the stats when they’re first initialized, but not as they’re updating; if you want to see the stats update in realtime, use debug\_level=4.)

The Live Puzzle games are hell to try to track what you have done or not if you are trying to finish everything over several days.
You don’t have an indicator that you completed the puzzles on easy/med/hard (and even finding the menu to change the difficulty was a challenge!)

Actually, the number of stars corresponds to the highest difficulty level completed (a 1-starred puzzle means you’ve completed it only on easy, 2-starred on normal, and 3-starred on hard). So it’s actually easier to keep track of what you’ve done in this one.

**[10 is Again](http://www.kongregate.com/games/iojoe/10-is-again)** (current rating: 4.06)
I’d say that a badge for completing all 55 levels would be fitting. I’d probably make it a hard badge, because a few of those levels can be pretty tricky, and I don’t see it being easy enough for a medium badge. If you go at a somewhat decent pace, it’d probably take between 1-2 hours of time to play through (because, while the first few levels take a matter of seconds to do, the later ones can take many minutes if you get stuck trying to do it the wrong way).

**2014, the 2013 Edition**
There are a lot of games from 2013 that should still be badged. The suggestions for [**Candle Man**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/spotlightor/candle-man), [**Pause Ahead**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/askiisoft/pause-ahead), and [**Live Puzzle 2 Christmas**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/PipkinGames/live-puzzle-2-christmas) earlier on this page all remain viable (in fact, Live Puzzle’s rating is now over 3.9).
* * *
* * *
As for new games:
[**10 is Again**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/iojoe/10-is-again) (current rating: 3.88)
**Tenable Tendencies** Badge (easy ~ 5 points)
Complete the Intro.
[] 10 levels complete (best so far: )
**X Marks the Spot** Badge (medium ~ 15 points)
Complete 25 levels.
[] 25 levels complete (best so far: )
**Diez ex Machina** Badge (hard ~ 30 points)
Finish the game.
[] 55 levels complete (best so far: )
.
I realize that using the same basic stat for three badges has become less common, but I think the usual easy/hard schema for long-ish puzzle games in insufficient here. This is a considerably harder game than the original 10, and a medium to bridge the gap between easy and hard would fit the content.

[**A Bonte Christmas**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/bontegames/a-bonte-christmas) (current rating: 3.79) [NEEDS API]

[**Loot Hero**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/VaragtP/loot-hero) (current rating: 3.85) [NEEDS API]
**How to Maim Your Dragon** Badge (easy ~ 5 points)
Defeat the dragon.
[] Dragon defeated once (best so far: )
.
Very straightforward. I don’t think it’s really long enough for a medium, but it wouldn’t be totally unwarranted.

I haven’t played either enough to make good suggestions yet, but [**Kingdom Rush Frontiers**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/Ironhidegames/kingdom-rush-frontiers) (obviously) and [**Into Space 3: Xmas Story**](http://www.kongregate.com/games/BarbarianGames/into-space-3-xmas-story) are also good badges candidates.

**[Disposabot](http://www.kongregate.com/games/Unept/disposabot)** (current rating: 3.67)
This game just came out today, so the rating will probably fluctuate a bit over the next short while, but I’m really liking it. I haven’t yet completed it, so I’m not sure of difficulties, and the only shown stat is for score (your score for each level is 100-deaths), so maybe one for getting a specific score, or if there’s a stat for completion that could also be nice. I’m sure someone like prec could come up with some actual ideas better than I could.
|
|
|
metadata
After playing Disposabot some, I feel like an easy for level 5, a medium for getting the “exit”, and another medium or possibly a hard badge for getting gold on all levels and beating the true final boss.
It’d need some serious API expansion though.
Edit: After finishing it, either making the second badge a medium, or removing the first one and making it a hard seem like viable options.
Maybe something for optimization, but for now I can’t suggest a score as I’m not really sure what’s good.

2634 seems to be the all gold+all keys+kill the boss optimal score. There’s currently two people with score (one of them being me) and no higher score.
Edit: That said, I wouldn’t be shocked if a higher score is possible. In particular, I’ve done level 21 with 5 deaths, and 4 should be possible.
