Level 21 is possible in [2 deaths,](http://youtu.be/0kIxng1nmjc) making the score 2637. I’m not sure if optimization in key levels require getting the key, since it doesn’t appear once you complete it. But the score wasn’t updated when I optimized them without going for keys after getting them.
Edit: It seems my score was supposed to be 2645.

That’s because the score goes down if you optimize the level after getting the key. You apparently get 200-deaths for beating a key level with the key, and then 100-deaths if you beat it again without the key, and it replaces the 200-deaths1 score with a 100-death2 score if death2\<death1.
This wouldn’t be so much of a problem if the key didn’t vanish after collecting it.

21 is actually possible with 1 death. I’ll let you figure out how. :) If you’re curious about any other level scores, ask me and I’ll tell you what I have.

> You apparently get 200-deaths for beating a key level with the key
Really? This is the first key level getting the key

By the way, there is a level that’s possible with 0 deaths :)

For Disposabot, it doesn’t look like there’s any difference between scores for key levels whether you collect the key or not (the scores were submitting fine when I didn’t collect the key, and the same score was shown when I did), so that doesn’t seem to be an issue in terms of optimizing.
* * *
EDIT: Actually, there is some sort of hidden points getting added. My total in-game score was reduced by roughly 97 when re-completing one of the key levels, even though it never said anything about the keys giving bonus points. That means that it’s impossible to optimize the game if you’ve not done the key levels perfectly the first time, which really is unfortunate. I’d be against any badge that involves scores only achievable by the keys unless that gets fixed, then.

My post [here](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/370516-kongs-best-of-2013?page=1#posts-7605212) listed the top 10 games of the year as of the 10th, but since then several of the games that didn’t have badges have gotten them. Those badges showing up before the end of the year probably wasn’t a coincidence. Those games have probably lost rating points as a result (because rating always drops after a badge) so might not be in the top 10 any longer. I’d take a deeper look but I’ve got to head off, I’ll leave that for someone else!

Fortunately, the dev has responded to my bug report about the issue and is trying to fix it. I think he’s fixed the issue of losing points for replaying key levels, but key points that have already been lost aren’t coming back.

It seems that if you get the key the score is 100-deaths and if you don’t, the score is 0+deaths.

Awesome, thanks for the heads-up.

That would be interesting, because it would have to cap somewhere rather low, otherwise you could not collect the key and just die 100 times, right?
* * *
If the key is getting added back after it’s been collected it’s not a huge issue, but until then it’s a little disappointing (my score was somewhere around 2,500, I re-did a level and it dropped to around 2,400 because of it).

Just tested, it does indeed look like everything is fixed. Optimizing key levels now doesn’t require getting the keys, which makes for an interesting mechanic, though.

It would be nice to see [Run](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kongregate.mobile.run.google) (Android) get badges, seeing as all the other standalone apps in the Play Store have badges. I don’t know if it’s possible or not though. Anyway, it’s current rating is 4.1. Either a medium badge for completing Explore Mode, or just gain _x_ distance in Infinite Mode for _x_ level badge badge seems reasonable.

Seems WAY too hard. 2,645 would be much, much, MUCH easier. Still a hard badge, though.

It’s definitely doable, and very so.

Bumping to get people to help Greg.
Also, Into Space 3 should be easy to badge.

(30/40-row rant about how it’s grindy as crap, devolved compared to its prequel, rushed together and just plain sucks included via link because I cbf to write an original, fresh one.)

I think Greg’s already got DH2’s badges planned, but I figured I’d throw a few out there, for fun. I’m trying to avoid anything that feels too grindy – the game really doesn’t feel like an MMO, so I’d kinda prefer skill-based challenges than grindy ones. All of the stuff below is stuff that could conceivably be done in a single sitting, if you’re good. The easy/medium badges can be completed without having to grind out a fully-maxed character. The hard ones don’t necessarily require a fully-maxed character, but having some upgrades will help a lot.
**Dos Dillos** (Easy – 5 points)
_[API: raceFinishes\>=2]_
Finish two public races before time runs out.
**Animal Magnetism** (Easy – 5 points)
_[API: CHALLENGErideTheLightning\>=1]_
Use a Magnet to smash through a Goonana or a Frost Mine unharmed.
**In The Zone** (Medium – 15 points)
_[API: level0\_raceTime\<=170000]_
Complete a public race on Emerald Hills with a time of 1:50 or better.
**Blue Sky** (Medium – 15 points)
_[API: asteroidsInOneJump\>=2]_
Smash through two asteroids in a single jump. Asteroids can be found on Meteor Moon and Crumbling Ruins.
**Tiny What Now?** (Hard – 30 points)
_[API: CHALLENGEinsideTheBox\>=1]_
Win a public race without jumping, gliding, using an item, swimming, or bouncing on anything.
**’Roid Racer** (Hard – 30 points)
_[API: CHALLENGEworldTraveler\>=1]_
Win public races on 7 different levels.
**Bird’s the Word** (Hard – 30 points)
_[API: CHALLENGEanimalRights\>=1]_
Complete a public race on Stonefeather Peaks (the pointy brown level) without bouncing on any birds.
I’m happy to add more API calls to the next build if anyone has suggestions. I just realized I’m not passing a stat for consecutive perfect jumps, that might be a good one.

I also enjoyed this game, but no way it gets a hard for just 10 levels. Easy or Medium for completion.

Quoting this because it’s been over three weeks from the release of the game and we need more skill-based hards.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to reiterate my appreciation for this thread, and from this point onward I hereby promise to do a better job of keeping up with it and responding to things. I made [a post](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/380539-upcoming-badges) earlier today about upcoming badges, and there was some discussion about this thread being made obsolete as a result. However, I don’t believe that this needs to be the case — I would encourage everyone to continue using this thread to suggest games with ratings below a 3.8, or badges for games that I have not explicitly committed to badging. I will still read your suggestions, and while I won’t be able to act on most of them, they are still appreciated!
To answer a few other points raised in this thread, yes, I need to get back to Enigmata: Stellar War. That’s been in the back of my mind forever, and with the current badge drought, now might be the time to fulfill an ancient promise.
I’m going to look into and consider Pause Ahead, also. The rating isn’t that much lower than 3.8, and it’s interesting and unique enough to warrant a little extra attention. Thanks especially to Precarious for all the great suggestions — I should also probably badge Live Puzzle 2 Christmas, even if a couple of months ago would have been a more ideal time…

Our system changed a bit, but here’s how you can test it now: Use Chrome instead of Firefox. Type /?debug\_level=4 (not 3 anymore — we’ve leveled up!) at the end of the game URL. Right-click anywhere on the page (not the game window) and hit “inspect element” at the bottom. A tab will pop up from the bottom of your screen. Click the “console” tab all the way to the right. You might need to refresh at this point, but from that point onward, you’ll be able to see all the data that the game is submitting to us.
Thanks again, guys!
