How can my game include badges?(need answer)

em….hopefully i will upload a game soon ^^’ but something is confusing me that how could my game have badges so it would make people play it more…like any game on this site?

You can’t add your own badges to a game. If it becomes popular enough and has the API then Greg may decide to add badges to it. There are many games without badges. Just cross your fingers and hope your game succeeds. Jccech, you are not allowed to put games that you didn’t make on this website.

The game developer does not put the badges on – kongregate do. Your game must be rated 3.5 stars or above, and must use the congregate API . Im sure theres a FAQ on this somewhere. It also helps if your game is actually your game – cat noir appears to be stolen.

1) Make a game

2) Implement Kong. API in your game

3.a) If your game is good, get an average vote of over 3.5
3.b) If not, bribe or otherwise arrange for your game to get a score of over 3.5

4) wait for Greg

5) watch game score decline as completionists get fed up with getting every last badge.

OR

1) Make a game

2) Implement nonoba API in your game; design your own badges.

3) Upload your game to Nonoba.

4) if your achievements are acceptable, they'll be approved.

5) bask in glory, and complaints of achievements not working.

The latter method is easier.. the first – well, I’ve never got it to work, and not for lack of trying.

I’m sure path 2 leads to this:

6) Watch game score decline rapidly as 20% of people rate 0.0, 10% rate 0.5 due to lack of skill

And remember

7) Upload your game to Kongregate and get flamed over Nonoba branding

With my games I’ve found Nonobians to be rather more generous with their ratings. On Kongregate, it seems a proportion of people are searching for a reason, however spurious, to vote games down.¹

I wasn’t suggesting uploading the Nonoba wrapper on Kong, just … if you really want your game to have badges, going to the site which lets you make your own works fine.

Sigh. I spent at least two months full time making the game which received that.

I don’t think the Kong staff appreciates you trying to say that they’re site sucks. Please don’t advertise some other gaming site and trying to say it’s better, because it’s really quite rude. If you don’t like the Kong community you don’t have to be here and tell us how we suck.

You know nonoba was a rip off of kongregate in the first place.

Yes, you’re right Nabb, people gripe about difficulty and achievements just as much at Nonoba. If you can get some players saying it’s “WAY TO” hard and some saying it’s “WAY TO” easy, you’re probably about right.

Blazian_Pyron, I didn’t say Kongregate ‘sucks’. And I’m not advertising another site. If you can’t link to another website of specific interest then doesn’t that kind of negate the point of the web?

Alright,for all you retards who think Lysis is (wrong,stupid,dumb,rude) he’s not,the question was “how do I upload a game and get badgse”. Lysis answered in a very simple way so any noob that’s underage can easily read it. This topic should actually be over,but it’s not and all of you are still whining.
