I actually think it's probably better to put that rule at the bottom. That way, at least someone has to scroll down to read it, and thus it's easier to guess someone hasn't read the through the OP in its entirety if they post here requesting to be a moderator. Like one of those instuction sheets that tell you to read everything before doing any activities, and it's easy to see who does or doesn't read though the whole thing.
Although I guess it would be a good telling to sign to guess if someone hasn't even glanced at the OP if they do post it here if it were moved to guideline one.

I'm still pondering on this by the very subject and ask myself, "How did I become a mod?"
And I'm talking specifically about me, myself, and I and not some extrovert. Also, take note that I'm only stating this as a conundrum not a complaint.

Mike, I am 100% sure every single mod feels that way at some point, myself included. Just saying.

Don't try to become a Moderator...It will disqualify you. You have to be yourself not what you think Administrators want you to be.

Thank you so much. I have been doing almost all of that stuff but still no moderator but like you said it is not a 100% going to get you to be a moderator. I will though still help new players and support the community.

You do not have to be a Moderator to help individuals in your community. Plus, there's no guarantee that you will be chosen simply because you have followed these steps. You can't want Moderator... you will be chosen for it. If you try to be a Moderator or act like one you will not be chosen.

Given that Kongregate has ended the volunteer chat moderation system, I'm going to lock this thread.
