I like this fourm muting idea. Would it be similar to forum muting? I like that one… But they bring up important ideas in the future that you would then not know about… |
Plus, you’d look like an idiot if they posted above you in a forum game. |
yea but their would be less banning (now im just waiting to get banned cuz i gotted ticked and lost my temper cussed him off so… yea plz make fourm muting |

If you don’t mind the person that you muted posted something intelligent and you said something similar to it but, it didn’t make sense (like this doesn’t) you would look like an idiot. But, you wouldn’t know. |

I don’t particularly like blatant “Forum Muting” but what if instead of just not displaying that user’s posts on the thread altogether, how about collapsing them with a “Show Muted Post” button in the upper right corner? You wouldn’t have to deal with their posts, and you could still see them if the need arose. (IE. Forum games) Anybody think that idea would work? I don’t even love my idea, I’m just presenting it as an option for this problem. |

Ice: That’s the essence of how ignore lists work on PHPBB, vBulletin, and (I think) Invision. It’s a tried-and-true successful method of ignoring people, used on hundreds of message boards all over the web. |

Ah. I never knew that, since I’m not interested in most of those. |
Well then don’t talk to them. I’ve had similiar problems…cracks knuckles...alot,but don’t blame other people if you can’t avoid a dumb arguement over teh internetz.
