I know from talking to several people after the update that I am not the only one who wants to know how the new system works. It was easy before to know we had a 2-3% chance.

Can we have an explanation of how this is coded and how the system would change after cards are added? I am still afraid to pick any starter cards because some new uber card will come out or I will be left with 1 good card missing and a .05% chance to get it.

Currently, the less cards you have, the more of a chance you are going to have to earn a card. The chance of earning a card will never go lower than 3%, regardless of the number of cards you have.

Yeah, but any1 knows the formula?

Just for the record, making my previous post obsolete, Emily Greer mentioned several times that the base percentage has been increased from 3% to a higher, yet unspecified, amount.

Because she will not reveal the new base amount leads me to believe that the formula will probably not be released to the public.

The base amount is probably 5%.

I do recall her saying in Kongai chat something along the lines of:

“The base amount is over 5%”

Then she said something like:

“I mean 3%”, but I can’t tell you what.”

Perhaps a slip up?

Regardless, the formula doesn’t really matter too much. Just trust that you have a much better chance at getting cards than you would have before, and that you have over a 3% chance, no matter what.

P.S. Emily, I hope I don’t get you in trouble :(

It varies depending on how many cards you have. If you have few cards it will go higher than 3%. But it will NEVER go below 3%

The lowest % chance has been increased significantly from 3% as well.
