We need the ability to embed or attach images. I would love to show some of my photography in the art forum, but it makes it hard when all we are doing is linking to a website. Would that somehow work?

And now that I just did it, I noticed that when I post the first reply on a new page, it will still shoot me to page 1 on the forums. While it’s not a huge deal, I would like to be sent to the last page I was viewing. Just a thought. |

I believe you can use HTML. Observe:
Just do (img src=“image URL”) , but replace the ( with the < thingies. |

Aw, thanks. it should be added to the little box of what you can do on the right side formatting help list. I’ll just keep going with the suggestions. I’m not trying to be mean or anything, just some more ideas. Would it be possible to put our post count in our profiles? That would be awesome like a opossum. |
I Agree with jmtb02 here, I think that adding a post count to the profile will get people to realize there is a forum here… |
You can also put the url to the image between exclamation marks. Like this: |
I think having the users show up alphabetically in the user list chat window would be helpful. |

I apologize in advance if this has already been suggested. I think it would be great if there were a “Lab” area in Kongregate for incomplete games, alpha’s, concept/mechanic demos, toys, kernels and so on. I think this would be a nice way to continue to support this sort of important content/work, yet would keep it separate from the completed games. I think this content would draw many people to Kongregate (both to show and see it), including developers who need feedback on early ideas, experimental/art folks, students/newbvies, etc. I think content in this Lab area should be allowed to draw ad revenue, but should not be part of the monthly contests, unless there are special Lab contests. What do you think? |

A few chat/communication features that I think would be nice: Being able to open private, 1 on 1 chat rooms with someone. The ability to become ‘invisible,’ so you don’t need to chat if you don’t want to. The ability to send messages to other players. Not chat, I mean everyone has an Inbox, and you can send a message to anyone, even if they are offline. I noticed that the ‘current leaders’ page for the contests hasn’t been updated recently. Shouldn’t it be possible to script this so that no one ever needs to go to the trouble of updating it themselves? That would be best for everybody because it would always be up to date for people to view, and would no longer waste the time of Kong staff to go do it themselves. |
Yup — we’re redesigning the homepage to include the contest leaders for all contests, which will update dynamically. Should be in by the end of February. It’s going to pretty slick. The private chat is on our list as are messaging, but in terms of being invisible I’m not sure about that. Right now you can get that affect by either signing out and playing as a guest, or by going to one of the empty rooms. You can also mute chat if you just don’t want to see it, and if you don’t respond people will assume you’re afk… |
Bah! I keep forgetting to update that thing! The transition between contests didn’t help matters, either. I’ll do it right now. |
I just upload my first game at the beginning of the week and I was wondering if there was a way for a developers to track the number of time our game was added to a Fav list ? This could be a nice thing to know on the personnal info page bellow each uploaded game. |
I was thinking something similar. Wouldn’t it be interesting to be able to see how many times a game has been favorited? You could even implement the ability to list games by # of times favorited, just like you can now with ranking or date added. |
Hmm… That will be a good idea! I think we should put a link for feedback submitted because I didn’t know which feedback gave me 5 points and a reason why… |
1) 2) Maybe the developer could write a one line sales pitch that goes on the list. It would be like giving developers a free and fair way to advertise. 3) 4) |

well i was thinking of a new and improved chat containing emotions text changes like glow wave …….and theres not enough game on kongregate so why don u let users upload games not made by them but they dont get credit for them and be posted on separate pages the the ones made by there uploaders and if possible a small homepage for users to post a little about themselves thnx for reading:) you know i agree with jmtb02 here u should add a post count because i just relized thers a forum and i started posting ppl might no know there is a forum!!!!!!!!!! |

@hadii : As a Kongregate user you do have a page to post a little text about yourself. Check out the “my profil” link in the header of the page. To see profil of other people on the chat you just have to click there name to see a bunch of info on them. (profil, favs, friends) Also about your idea of uploading copied game of other people, well lets say I’m against the idea. Some game are bound to agreement on other website, or are liscence to other legal owner than the developers who did the actual game. Also, all game on Kong are in for weekly contest and (in the furtur) to add revenus share. To make it short, the owner of the game must be the one to submit it for clear reason. :D About the chat, I agree that it could be improve, but you can pretty well do your emoticon old style strictly with ascii. I’d prefer a private fonction waaay before glowing-waving text. Regards. |

Regarding game comments: I really think you should sort the comments from newest to oldest (or another method) instead of what its like now. Right now you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to read the latest and you end up staring at the same months-old comments if you dont. It doesnt seem to prompt you to read them as much when the dynamics are all off the bottom of the page. Just a thought :) |
We agree. The current method worked fine when games only had 10 comments or so, but not it’s out of hand. We’ve got a redesign of the game page in progress that does that, and also paginates the comments, so the page doesn’t scroll down forevery. |
I think there should be some link showing recently updated/improved games. |
My suggestion for this is that one of the Kongregate guys (Greg?) opens a official and sticky thread called “Updated games” in the forums. Anyone who updated his or her game can post a short note about the new features or fixed bugs. This would work fine until Kongregate implements a more “ambitious” solution for this issue. It would be easy to use it via the RSS-Feed, too. |

Sounds good. |
