Increase the maximum limit of characters in a private message again. 2000 characters is a really low limit. I personally have to cut up messages into 2-3 parts with every other message I write. I don’t quite see why it was lowered so much, either.
If it’s a matter of spam, the size of a spam message hardly matters, it’s the message itself. At least that’s how it is for me.

It might not matter to you, but it matters to Kongregate’s servers.

I would like to see an option to add polls to forums.
In some games, the content of new updates is highly determined by the wishes of the gaming community. Having a poll on a forum instead of petition threads makes it a lot easier for the community to get their voice heard, plus it also has a certain convenience factor for the developer, so he/she can see pro and con votes all in one place.

Has probably been suggested many times before but I’d love to see signatures added to the forums.

NO! Would become way too spammy and there is almost no point.
Oh and again NO!

This flag could be use for : use of liscence material, lots of bugs, bad graphics or bad gameplay. I know this is all very subjective, but after, lets say 15 flags, the game is automaticly remove from the site. I think its important to keep the standard up. Or maybe just all those criteria fit under “inappropriate”. An explanation field when submiting inappropriate game is then in order.
I think this dude has an idea, but that all players should be notified that it’ll be deleted, and they can save the game (only for themselves) and they should have an extra category for saved games (:

I agree, signatures below posts would really take the focus away from the discussion going on, since there would be that break in flow for the signature. However, I’ve always thought that there could possibly be something, even just a sentence or two, that could fit in the grey box on the left of the posts, right below the other posting information. There’s usually the room for it to fit there, and it wouldn’t be in the way of the actual post. Just look at this post I made, there’s a lot of wasted space there that could easily have some small thing put there.

Haven’t read through all the suggestions as there’s tons! But I’d love to have a way of selecting the genre then seeing which games you haven’t played. For example, when I started Kongregate about 2 weeks ago I was playing Strategy games and now I’m onto Puzzles and working my way through them but every time I leave and come back I have to wade through the rankings again?
Not a major issue, it’d just be nice me thinks!

What if someone posts up quite a small post, and there is no room? what happens then, if whatever u put in there is too small u may not be able to read it or see it :l

That’s a good point, and I agree that it would stretch it slightly in those situations, but then there’s also the possibility of just having it cut out with an ellipsis if there’s not enough room. For example, if I make mine say “I like to play games and chat,” then if my post is long enough to show it, it will all be shown, but if there’s not enough room, then it can cut out to look like “I like to play games…” and then allow for the whole message to show if hovered over. There are already known ways to make words show text when hovered over in forum posts, so that mechanic could be added to this “signature” feature in the sidebar.

Would be nice to show Steam ID’s on profile, seeing as we have Gamertags and PSN Names and Twitters.

We should be able to block people and I mean block as in they can’t look at you’re profile or add you as a friend. sure we can mute people but when they make multiple accounts just to troll it becomes impossible to actually mute them because you don’t know the name of their troll account.

If people are making multiple accounts, then how are you going to know which accounts to block?

I think Kongregate should have a ‘new rule’ for developers:
“If you have real money charges in your game, ie: kreds in game and if your game uses saves, you HAVE to have the OPTION to store them server side.”
At least that what I think.
If developers are allowed to not give back to the people willing to give them their money,
the very least the developer can offer to store saves server side.

^^to my previous suggestion,
I know Kngregate can lease/rent/sell servers to the develoeprs for the TINY save files.
And I know Kongregate would love to get even more % money from the game :D

The amount of Kred games are large enough to make this unfeasible.
If developers are allowed to not give back to the people willing to give them their money
Kred content are always bound to your account. Period.

I think you should be able to upload Scratch games, because I don’t have any other programming tool, besides Python.

Since On The Forum
http://www.kongregate.com/forums/4-game-programming/topics/160453-how-to-make-flash-games-read-before-posting
You Tell Us How To Make A Flash Game To Post On The Site, The Creators Of Kongregate Should Make And Release A Software To Make Flash Games. It Could Be Free Or Priced. If Priced It Shouldn’t Be Over 50$ Like Most Softwares Adobe, etc. I Just Think Something That You Have To Pay 700$ Dollars For, Isn’t The Best Option, And The Flash Development Kit (In My Opinion) Is Just Too Hard To Understand! With Flex And Graphic Cards! I Just It Would Be A Good Idea, Though I Probably Won’t See The Day…
Anyone Else Agree?

Okay, I decided to dwelve into my frie… I mean, follower list to make a one big cleanup by removing some accounts I’ve barely interacted with and what I don’t want to see in “friends online” list
Now, I thought this would be easy task and shouldn’t take too long. I was wrong. After removing around 150 accounts from my friend list, I noticed I’ve been cleaning my list for painstaking 90 minutes because every time I removed an account from the list, I got redirected to the first page of my friend list. Eww!
Now, for the future, to make this task easier, there’s a simple feature I’d like to suggest: Please fix the problem I depicted above. Instead of redirecting a player into the first page of their friend list, leave them to page from which they removed an account
And if “whoops” situation happens where you delete whole page by removing final account from deleted page, then feel free to redirect user to the first page of their friend list as it is very likely user already finished his/her cleanup
And if you bother, you could enable turbo gear by giving us checkboxes and action button which would allow us to do certain actions to multiple accounts simultaneously, including to “remove from friendlist”

Thing is, I don’t think Kong wants to make it easy for you to remove friends. After all, Kong is a social gaming site (so many people seem to forget this lately)—by removing friends, you are inherently becoming less social. Sure, there are certain circumstances where removing friends is desirable, but mass removal is something that there shouldn’t really be a need for.

As A Newbie On Kongregate I realized That There Is No Stay Sign In Option, It’s Annoying Whenever I Have To Exit Momentarily And Return To Find That I’m Signed Out. If There Is An Option For It, And I Just Don’t See It. Tell Me.
