@123aaa798 I had a public profile; I switched it to private, and now I don’t want a social connection with anyone on Kongregate. I want to go for achievements and that’s it. You don’t account for things that have happened outside of this website and are outside of the report feature’s prerogative.

From a programmer’s perspective, I don’t see why this is so hard. Take the code used to add or remove yourself as someone’s fan and switch the parameters: you.removeFandom(PatPeter) to patpeter.removeFandom(you).

Doesn’t matter. A person added you likely because they liked you. How would you like it if you liked someone, and they rejected you? It’s the exact same thing.

Kongregate is a social gaming website; therefore, you should inherently expect the ability to remove yourself from the social aspect of the site to be limited.

Your argument is a non sequitur. You claim that the relationship I have with my fans doesn’t matter, and then you go on to back up your claim by saying that I should not be allowed to remove a fan who likes me.

By your logic, stalking should be legal and restraining orders should be removed from the legal system because if someone likes you, you don’t have a right to reject them. Rejection is a part of life.

So once again, 1) it’s a simple modification of the code, and 2) I have a right to choose who is connected to me.

1) Probably not. 2) Just mute them if you don’t want to chat with them.

And I do socialize when I play games. I join the chat rooms and I’ll talk about the game, achievements, etc., but I will not participate in fan/following on Kongregate until I know that I have control over my connections.

Once again, my point has been missed. I don’t want to associate with them. It isn’t a matter of chatting with them on this website; it’s a matter of things outside the website.

@SilverChannel I would like to be able to edit these forum posts as well. I’m scanning my messages a dozen times to make sure I’m not misspelling anything.

Being able to edit our shoutssss. That’s really necessary, in my opinion. At least for the people who make lots of typo’s, me for example haha.

I would agree with this, to a degree. You should be allowed to edit it for a certain time frame after posting it, but not if someone has commented on/liked it, since it would be falsifying the information that they commented on/liked (I wouldn’t want someone to say something I agree with, have me say I agree, and then have them change it to something completely different). So basically, it’d be useful for if you immediately see an error and want to fix it without having to delete and re-post it (especially if you used a lot of textile and such in it).

It should be possible to filter search results by game category or, in the case of results in the forums, by the forum they have been posted in.
It should also be possible to search in a specific category.

We all have that problem when we want to see what friends are online, but we have to leave the game that we our currently on. I would like to suggest that we have the friends list highlight-able/Interactive (hover over with pointer) when opened your friends will pop up to who was on. Also it will include the last time logged-in. There will be a search bar that will appear to search for anyone on your friends list. The person that has been searched will appear with there avatar/picture, name, and last logging-in time. If the person would so happen to be logged in there will be a green circle to the left of the picture. If offline the will be sent to the bottom of the list with a red circle. there if you click on the person an box will appear showing there recent activities such as badges earned, games played, or simply their shouts.

Thank-you for your time and considerate

I think the future of indie games the likes Kongregate would host and/or sponsor is HTML5. I don’t really know how to encourage that, though. In the last decade, Flash experienced a cottage industry through which many independent game developers cut their teeth on Flash. HTML5 is way better, I promise! I think Kongregate needs to take a stake in HTML5 and move away from plugins. Are there any HTML5 games with badges? I haven’t noticed them if so.

Not really necessary, you can just click on your friends with the wheel ( which is between the left and the right mouse button), it will automatically open in a new tab.

Woops, I forgot. Just hold ctrl and click the left mouse button.

It really irks me that in the “Recommended Badges” section, Kong keeps recommending badges for games that I gave a measly 1 star to. Even if I click the X to dismiss the recommendation, it keeps recommending them. If I found a game to be sufficiently not to my taste to give it only 1 star, then even for a 5 point easy badge, it’s not worth it to me to play. Surely if badges are going to be recommended, then what I think of the game should be considered in giving one.

You could try the mouseover timestamp or in-chat timestamp script (personally, I use the mouseover one) to show what time messages were sent at in chat.

Kong should allow us to use our EB games gift cards to purchase kreds.

IT IS MY FIRM BELIEF THAT A “BADGE SUGGESTIONS THREADWITHIN THE KONGREGATE FORUM, AVAILABLE TO A LIMITED FORUM COMMUNITY, IS INSUFFICIENT FOR THE ENTIRE KONGREGATE COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN DETERMINING WHICH GAMES GET BADGED
ALTHOUGH KONGREGATERS CAN INFLUENCE BADGING THROUGH RATINGS, I ALSO BELIEVE THAT THAT IS INSUFFICIENT
THEREFORE I HIGHLY SUGGEST AND RECOMMEND AND ADVOCATE AND SANCTION AND EXTOL A BUTTON INCLUDED WITHIN GAMES THAT ALLOWS ONE TO PRESS IT AND IT INCREASES A COUNT
A COUNT CALLED: THIS GAME SHOULD BE BADGED!
HENCE, THE BADGEMAKERS SHALL BE ABLE TO SEE MORE COMMUNITY OPINION, AND ALLOW IT TO FURTHER INFLUENCE THEIR DECISIONSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

The community at large has proven that they don’t really know what’s best for them. The badge suggestion thread is just that, a suggestion. If it happens to be what the final outcome is, that’s simply because the suggestion was what raw and/or Greg had in mind already.

They’ve both proven beyond a doubt that they’re more then capable of selecting the right badges for the right games.

If a game is rated highly (usually over 3.75) it has a good chance, so if you really want it to because you like it, rate it highly, comment about it, and hope for the rest of the community to also rate it highly.

It’s not as cut and dry as that. Most games on the site are written on Flash. A lot of phones don’t support Flash.

You don’t generally log into games, though, only if they’re specifically made for mobile and specifically made as standalone games (so far Escape is the only one with that option). Otherwise, the Android app works well for all of the games on it, or just using the mobile site (m.Kongregate.com) work fine for the forums or some other games (I’ve used the mobile site just to play some multiplayer games with energy systems that involve just clicking a button when I don’t have access to a computer, and posting in the forums works nicely from it as well).

Some companies also maintain separate environments for different websites that support the same game. For some games, environmental integrity is compromised if they allow someone with an advanced account on an old environment to log in with his same account in a new environment. For instance, if someone from a game server with level 100 accounts and end-game equipment then was able to log into a new server where people had not even reached level 50, that would be a bad thing. For other games, it’s a matter of resources or licensing. One portal may insist on having a sandboxed environment that doesn’t interact with a rival portal’s community. At other times, the developers simply don’t feel the time and cost in effort/resources is worth integrating accounts.

WHEN are they going to add the new tag search system?

(searching for multiple tags and filtering out tags. for example: fantasy pixel -penguins <this will search for games with the fantasy and pixel tags but filter out those with the penguin tag)

Kongregate need an app on IOS that you can look at your messages on without going to the main page to look at them
