Kongcon

Well, as many of you have noticed, the site’s name is “kongregate” implying people on the site will: “to come together; assemble, esp. in large numbers”. So why must we continue living this lie? Why must we rate games thanklessly, and refer new users to this site, when we will never truly get to congregate with our fellow flash gamers/chatters?

I personally think some kind of kongregate convention would not only be successful, but fun =P

Anyone else interested in actually “kongregating” with kindred spirits, or am I alone in this desire for truth? X_X

Kongregate is still in beta. That means it is in no way perfect, and more and more people will join everyday. People might like Kongregate, but i don;t think there are enough people who would be willing to buy plane ticket to wherever this konvention would be. Maybe in a couple years?

And yes that was a really bad pun.

A KongCon would be epic, but Kong is just not big enough for that yet. Lets all wait until Jim becomes president, THEN it will become a reality.

I’d go, shame it would probably be in the US, I wouldn’t pay for a flight and stuff to attend.

As others said, Kongregate isn’t really big enough… if there were more people though, I might attend an event like this, depending on the location.

We actually threw a party in our office for the last GDC. The whole Kongregate staff was there, as well as arcaneCoder, Skye from XGen Studios, Pixeljam (Dino Run, Gamma Bros), the Filler developer, the Dinowaurs guys, Paul Preece (Desktop Tower Defense), and a bunch of others. We drank beer and played Rock Band. It was pretty awesome. Pictures here.

well, with the severel million dollars they have, they could host a few parties around the country and one or two internationally. Its not too badly a waste of money

well theres a gaming convention thats about to be in Indt, its called GenCon, what if Kong got a booth next year, greg you interested???
