Agreed, just when Kongregate seemed to have made some oddly bad choices,(with the exception of the buried treasure week) they pull this out….that is so awesome!

Sweepstakes are incredibly overrated when you consider the chance you’ll actually win. Then again, it’s probably just the “thrill” that actually has any meaning.

personally i would rather have both, but once you get most of the cards, it makes the challenges pretty pointless, so the sweepstakes are better even if you have a small chance of winning something awesome.

Probably if we’re unlucky, it be a loot challenge once per month then. I’d really wish for cards instead, that way 80% of the people wins, the other 20% gets duplicate cards.

How can you say you’d rather have the card challenges. Wouldn’t most people rather have a chance at getting something real than a card for a game that some people probably don’t even play.

If its a guarenteed 100% chance of winning something, then I’d go for that rather than the obscure 20,000 to 1 chance of winning a lucky draw. Sweepstakes are available EVERYWHERE, open the newspapers, tv, contests are EVERYWHERE. I don’t really want Kongregate to be just another “spam sweepstakes” site.

Kongregate needs to make money somehow, and to do that it needs to get more people coming to this site.

If the choice was just between spending more money on advertising, and running sweepstakes to give away stuff, I think they made the right choice :)

Its not all about the cards. If you want cards, play Kongai for them….. Don’t whine that you dont get a card challenge. Give the admins a break.
