New method of having nonworking cards/badges awarded -- please don't use email anymore!

Hey guys,

We have a new feature on the site that makes our lives a lot easier. When a badge or card doesn’t award for whatever reason, please visit our contact page, list the game, select what you didn’t get, provide an explanation, and attach a screenshot. We’ll be able to award the missing badge/card much more quickly.

Please DO NOT send us ANY more direct email about broken cards/badges!

Also, if people ask about it in chat, please direct them to the contact link! All the time in chat I see people complaining about not getting badges, and people in the room post the feedback@kongregate.com address. While this was helpful in the past, we’d like to ask that you please not do this anymore — again, just direct users to the contact link. It’s right up there on the top of the page between “help” and “privacy.”

That page is really useful to link to for various things.

Its a step forward, but I hope that there will be a grace period. My friend sent an email yesterday, and I hope that it will be answered. It might take a week or two for the emails to stop.

We’ll continue answering emails for a while, but we still want them to stop being sent as soon as possible.

photoshop cheating is a permaban infraction, and I know Matt and Alison are no fools. I haven’t spoken to Mike, but he also no fool in his emails.

I think I’m one of the last people to have emailed, then…end of an era.

@Obeliskos, we offer this service on a free website, and I think it’s really appreciated that we’re there to help if things don’t work properly. We are very critical in our reviews, and badge requests without screenshots will be denied 99.9% of the time. We hope that players, even the unscrupulous ones, will respect what we’re doing here as a luxury of using Kongregate instead of other sites with much worse support. Hopefully knowing that will keep them from abusing it. Otherwise, we’ll just ban their asses back to wherever they came from.

Also, I just went through and updated the entire FAQ. Lots of stuff was cleared out and changed around, but I’m sure I probably missed something.

greg in the earning part of the help page it says a maximum of 30 rates per day, isn’t it up to 50 now? I think someone said it was earlier, I could be mistaken though.

This is probably the only update in this one or two month that I think is great.

How about adding the possibility of attaching screenshots to bug reports? If that won’t be implemented, then I’ll still keep emailing bug reports when I have a screenshot of them.
