aC, couldn’t you be given permission to do it? Is it a difficult job or what?

I can’t understand why we’re given the option to delete topics, I don’t even see why we should be able to delete them. Edit them yes, delete them no.

Yes, I happened to have lost another 500 posts. Though I don’t really mind the loss of the post count (I’ve lost around 2.5k by now I don’t really care) I am annoyed at the loss of the actual post. I’m also annoyed that I cannot go back futher than 10 pages in recent posts, and as of yet there is no way to view them all.

I strongly agree that this option should be taken away. 2500 of my posts! I would say I average around 10 words a post (I’m not going to go and over-estimate it) depending on what was deleted as some things call for longer posts…. That’s around 25,000 words deleted, just because someone can!

I’ve just relaised what was deleted. A 70 page long RP topic, where I posted an average of 10 lines a post, 20 words a line.

500 × 10 = 5000 × 20 = 10,000 words! OMFG! And they were good ones too. And roleplay. I can’t express how annoyed I am and will speak to the creator of this topic to see if it was him who deleted it.

I now relaise that all of the RP Chronicles have been deleted and since they were made by seperate users one of whom was me I’ve know come to the conlusion taht aC has just deleted around 100 pages of work.

From what I’ve seen aC just locks topics, not deletes them. Why would he delete the Rp threads but only lock the “Laugh You Lose”? I bet it was the creator of the thread that deleted it. Maybe after it was locked?

I second that. RMcD you need to stop crying about having your posts “deleted”. I’m tired of it. There needs to be a better reason about why deleting topics should be taken away other then

RMcD’s thoughtless posting helped bring down an entire Off-Site RP Forum. All he does is complain about that and RP Chronicles. He spammed there and made the admins angry and spams here with his main and his multi-account, get’s threads locked and then cries if his post count goes down. He’s constantly brought up how he needs to get his post count up to beat me, then when that was pointed out he changed his story to be “not count, but content!”.

Many of my own posts get deleted a lot, due to cleanup. I don’t cry over it. I’d have way more posts by now; do I care? If I did I’d be supporting post count leaderboards and leaving my posts, or multi-posting in games like RMcD; which I don’t. I don’t find every excuse to complain about it up everywhere.

My suggestion: If you care about post content, don’t spam threads or post in spam threads. Head over to Serious Discussion and post thoughtful responses. There’s a reason why users like RMcD quantify their losses and have those losses in the first place; whereas users like Phoenix have almost no losses and no complaints. It’s your choice where and what you post.

Behavior Guidelines – Don’t spam. Please do not spam chat by repeatedly sending the same message over and over. Don’t spam comments for games, either. Please don’t post “first!” if you happen to be lucky enough to be the first one to post a comment in a new game. You probably won’t be banned for doing this, but it’s really annoying, and the comment may be deleted.

Content and post count are two different things. When you start talking about how you need x amount of posts to catch up to me, it has nothing to do with content.

That’s the problem. You should change the way you post sometimes. You get topics locked and forums shut down; yet think you don’t do anything. Instead of being negative, try taking my previous advice:

Please take your personal issues out of the forums. All you ever do is complain about the same thing, without changing your behavior. I was going to mention how I encouraged the deletion of the first True and False of which I expected to lose 500 posts, because I didn’t care they were stupid things, however I did care about long ones. I jsut did ebcause I had to tell you what I was going to mention, but you know never mind.

I don’t appreciate a lot of things people do; like spamming, harassment, flaming, getting threads locked, etc. But in any case, posts don’t get deleted for “no reason”; no do threads get locked for no reason. Again, head over to Serious Discussion and you’ll notice that.

In regards to games, I want a games forum. I want freedom for you all to post there. I want post counts off so you guys can have fun and have RP threads, true false games aplenty. I want less restrictions on it; and less complaining from other users. That, for the record, is my stance. If I had control to code it, I’d already have done it.

No forum has such a system. You want to be able to do whatever you want and want this site to follow the rules you make up, but that will never happen.

That said, you generally don’t really have to worry about anything if you make sure the content you post is constructive and in accordance with guidelines. The user’s right to delete topics, needs to be taken away. It doesn’t matter if some people’s reasons are so there post count doesn’t go down (not me, I want to preserve my posts, but something like True or False, I wouldn’t mind being deleted).

I’m confused, why would you want to take post count off there? If post count doesn’t matter, then no one should care how many you have. And even if they do, as you said it doesn’t get them anything. If you are going to let them play all they games with post counts off, then with them on should not make a difference since post count doesn’t matter.

Flare was the sole person who deleted website. No one else wanted it to happen.
