I want to lock this but I have a serious question: In what game does he gain fire throwing powers from a mushroom? In the original Mario Bros. (arcade and atari/NES versions) there are no powerups. Just the POW block. In Super Mario Bros (NES/All-Stars/Arcade versions) he gains the white suit and fireball powers from a flower. Even in the GBA Super Mario Land games (1 & 2) I don’t think it comes from a mushroom. Though I remember that in #1, the fire power is a little strange. I forget what triggers the powerup, but the fireballs are more like black bullets, and I think they bounce and change direction if they hit a wall. |

As far as I know, in all the Mario games featuring fire power, you could only get it from eating the fire flower. Unless you consider the red Yoshi which spit fire after eating things, but that has nothing to do with Mario. |

Edit: This formating is obnoxious... For some reason whenever I'm typing in the post box thing, if I'm scrolled down any, the bar jumps to the top every couple of seconds.
