That’s none of their business, frankly.
I’m ok if they do some of that anonymously from time to time to figure out how their service performs, but it shouldn’t be stored with my account information.
But yeah, judging from you three, “300 forum posts” appears to be one of the criteria. ;-)

“anyony who spends money on this site is wasting it, they will steal your money and ban your profile for no reason.”
There was very clearly a reason that your account was banned: you were suspected of using a credit card that you don’t own. You didn’t respond in a timely manner, so Kong followed procedure and banned the account. On your profile you can see the shouts from Kong that clearly state this, and ask you to email them at a certain email address if you think that the ban was in error (which you clearly do).
Yes you were out of town, and should have been able to resolve the problem with Kongregate by now. But I suspect that you went through the wrong channels to try to achieve this (eg. not contacting them through the proper email). Your further action of creating this account and threatening Kongregate suggests that you may not have gone about things correctly to begin with. If you were for example sending threatening emails to tech support, I could see why you might not have gotten the proper responses.
Anyway, you’re not really doing much to Kongregate, except for annoying some of its users, most of who will not believe a word you say. I recommend sending another message through the proper channels, or contacting one of the Admins directly through private message to sort this issue out once and for all. I expect that if you can prove that you were wronged, you will get a K+ membership out of it at the very least…

> I expect that if you can prove that you were wronged, you will get a K+ membership out of it at the very least…I grinned inwardly, because Commando38 actually received Kong+ membership on September 17, which ties in nicely with the topic we were discussing before. How does a user who has been permanently banned, with “Latest Activity: Played Tyrant (Jun 11, 2013 11:54pm)”, who has been banned on Jun 24, 2013 7:40am, receive a Kong+ membership 3 months later, if not for $400 spent on that account?

I am not questioning the fact that this player might have received K+ due to $ spent. However something is not right with the data on that profile you are quoting. If he was K+’ed only after he was banned, then how did his profile get the Tyrant skin on it (if it was K+’ed after being banned then there is not a way he could have picked a skin for his profile)? Also, this player said he was banned in December (not June). So my assumption is that he was banned in June but then got a hold of Kong and worked it out (possibly receiving K+ as a mitigation as 1727 suggests) or that he actually got K+ before he was banned.

I still don’t understand why some folks in this thread seem to frown on Kong bestowing K+ on people who spend alot at the site or calling these players “dedicated”. Take a volunteer organization. Now imagine two types of supporters: 1.) the volunteer who spends 200 hours a year supporting the cause and the organization, but gives no money or 2.) the person who donates $10,000 per year but spends none of her time directly on the organization. Would you say that the person who gave the money is dedicated to the cause and organization? Would you say that this person who donated money made the organization better? I would say so. This is not to say that the person who donated time is not, I am just saying that there are many ways to show support for something. One way is to spend your time directly on it (and in the case of Kong I would assume that you got enjoyment out of that time both playing games as well as engaging in social aspects). Another is to spend your time earning money which then is handed over to Kong for the service it provides.
Just my $0.02

I don’t frown on Kongregate giving Kong+ to valued customers as a bonus. In fact, it appears that Gamestop customers are also eligible for getting this free: if they have a “PowerUp Rewards account” and link this to their Kongregate account, that’s an automatic Kong+ membership. [See here.](http://www.kongregate.com/promotions/pur_renewal)
Do you actually have to buy something at Gamestop to get that PowerUp account, and if so, how much?
[Edit: I learned that you need the “Pro” account that costs $14.99/year to get Kong+ when you link accounts.]

I think it’s the same thing, it’s just a confusion of the wording. You have to buy the PowerUp account subscription. It’s $14.99/year USD.

Just to clarify, PowerUp Rewards membership does not give a free K+. PowerUp Rewards Membership is a free loyalty program from GameStop. However, PowerUp Rewards Pro (the paid version of GameStop’s loyalty program) does come (currently) with a concurrent K+ membership on Kongregate (and costs about $15 per year as adv0catus says).
If you are interested, [here is a webpage about the two programs](https://www.gamestop.com/PowerUpRewards/Home/Benefits).

I’m very sorry for bumping this but I’m unsecure. Can I use my paysafecard with euro’s on it to complete the USD payment? I know it might sound Obvious but I really don’t want to make any mistakes.

You might want to ask that question of Paysafe. If Kong accpets Paysafe as a method of buying K+ then you are good. The only question is what sort of currency conversion rate and what sort of fee (if any) Paysafe will charge you to do it.

My K+ is… acting up, I guess would be the appropriate terminology. I have the GameStop Pro membership card, and it is linked to my account. I am paying for it as I should. However, my K+ seems to have expired yesterday, though it shouldn’t have. I don’t have access to beta games, profile skins, K+ chat rooms, and the likes. But when I click on the K+ room, it says I’m already subscribed. Is there something wrong with my account, and is there somebody I could talk to a bit more directly to get it re-instated? Any help would be wonderful. :)
EDIT: Sorry for the necro, I just figured with this being the “official thread” maybe it would be a lot easier to get help here. Again, sorry everyone.

OK I’d be willing to purchase Kong + if you add two very important features:
1. A save file backup. I’ve had it where a friend downloads a spyware program or something just goes wrong and I have to clear my cache and cookies for one reason or another. When that happens I lose all my saved games from this site. I was within breathing distance of a couple hard badges that I’d spent 8+ hours trying to get when this happened once. I want something that makes a backup of my saved games on the site and repopulates them if they are missing from my computer. I’d also like the option to manage them so I can delete the ones for games I don’t play anymore.
2. Exclusive swf downloads of games not available to normal users. I’m in the Army, sometime I have to go on field exercises where I don’t have access to the internet. But I still like to play games, I’d like a feature on Kong + that allows me to download the swf file of certain games that I couldn’t do with a normal account.
OK so pull those two off and you’ll get my money. The first one is the most important.

I appreciate it, but I know that and what I’m saying is I’d pay $30 a year for the convenience of them doing it for me. This “early access beta” stuff is ridiculous. A beta means I play the game early and the developers get to test their servers and get feedback on bugs. Paying for a beta is like paying to test a car for Toyota, it’s wrong. That being said, the extra chat stuff is useful. I’m just asking for features that would be useful/timesaving in exchange for the money they are asking for.

I would like to get Kong plus tomorrow, but I am unsure about a code. How do I get the code? Do I need to have a certain amount of something before I can buy it? Those are the only things I am unsure of. I can’t wait for no more dang ads and that awesome symbol! Edit 34: Aah, I see. Thanks, adv0catus!

I have a certain doubt, and would appreciate it if someone would clarify it.
So this friend of mine is willing to gift me kong+, and my question is will he have to purchase another copy of Kong+ for me, or is the gifted version free?(For me and my friend both.) I ask this because I don’t want someone else to spend money for me, and I’m extremely uncomfortable with that.
Thanks.

He buys K+ and gifts it to you. If he wants it for himself also, he’d need to buy it twice.

So I recently renewed my Powerup pro card, but I no longer have kong plus status. Is this normal or should I go back to GameStop to have them fix this?
